Tiki Princess Look

Summer is almost over here in the UK but that doesn't mean we cant enjoy the last of it - and that is just what we are doing with this Tiki Princess inspired look. It's got glitter, vibrant colours and a flower crown, so come join us!

Start by moisturising the face for a fresh, smooth base for your makeup.

Then, go in with a primer  - we love Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination Creme, its got a golden tint for a glowing finish! We're blending this over the face with our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki brush.

Using the same brush we are going to apply our foundation, buffing it in small, gentle circles for an even flawless finish. We love the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, it gives great coverage and lasts hours on the skin!

To even out the skin tone and cover any dark spots or blemishes we are going in with a concealer and our Bella&Bear Ocelot Large Concealer Brush. Were blending the concealer outward on the face to allow light to hit the face and really disguise those problem area.

Lets set the concealer with a little translucent powder - we love the ELF Studio HD powder. We are gently dusting it over the concealer with our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush. This will stop the concealer from sliding around or oxidising.

To start work on the eyes we are priming them, this will help keep your shadow in place for hours and will make the colours POP! We're using the Urban Decay Priming Potion and gently dabbing it onto the eyelid with our ring finger.

We are then taking a matte purple shadow and our Bella&Bear Black Footed Cat brush and working the shadow into the crease of the eye with a windscreen wiper motion. We are using the BH Cosmetics Take Me to Brazil palette for this look as it is full of vibrant shadows which are just perfect for this look.

Next we are taking a poppin' pink matte shadow and our Bella&Bear Pampas Cat brush and we are filling in the lid with it, gently blending into the purple shadow for a seamless finish. We have gently winged the shadow out to give the eyes a nice shape, but this is optional.

To bring some color to the inner corners we are picking up our Bella&Bear Leopard Cat Pencil brush and a matte yellow shadow and filling them in. These colours work so well together!

For liner, we have decided to step it up a notch. We're taking a purple glitter (Hint; were using the MUA Luxe Glitter palette) and our Bella&Bear Caracal Liner brush and creating a thin, extended wing along the top lash line. We're then applying a generous coat of our fave mascara, Urban Decay Perversion.

To give some extra drama to the eyes we are applying a pair of natural-but-flirty lashes. We're using our Bella&Bear angled tweezers to apply them as close to the natural lash line as possible and allowing to dry before touching up the liner.

For the brows, we're doing something a little different. Remember that matte purple shadow we used on our crease? We're going to fill our brows in with it! But first we are going to use the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow brush to shape and tame the brows. We are then going in with the angled brush end and are filling in the brows, in your preferred shape or style. To finish them off we are brushing through with the spoolie to disperse any excess product and we are setting them in place with a brow mascara such as Rimmel London Brow Gel .

To give some gorgeous shape to the face we are going to do some light contouring. We are picking up our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush and a matte bronzer - we love Hoola by Benefit - and we are going to dust it along the cheekbones, the jawline and the temples and a '3' shape. If you want to define the face further you could also the dust the sides of the nose and just under the bottom lip.

For highlight we are going all out. We're using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fibre Powder brush and a opalescent shimmer powder (such as 'Milky Way' from the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette) and we are dusting it along the high points of the face; the cheekbones, the centre of the nose, the brow bones and the cupids bow.

As an optional bonus, we are using the same matte yellow shadow and our Bella&Bear Leopard Cat Pencil Brush brush and we are drawing some cute freckles across the face.

We are following this by applying a light purple glitter to the cheekbones with the ring finer (we're using the same MUA glitter palette we used for our liner).

We're going with pink glitter lips to compliment the eyes, but you can choose whichever colour you prefer. We started by lining the lips to get the desired shape and we then filled them in with our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush and some Bourjois Rouge Edition Matte Velvet in Nude-Ist. We then topped this with some glitter from the same MUA palette, dabbing it on with our ring finger.

Once your makeup is all done, make sure to keep it in place with a setting spray - our fave is the Urban Decay All  Nighter Setting Spray.

We then added this decorative Septum ring from NewLook and this stunning handmade custom flower crown by PrairieCharms.
