Thanksgiving is almost here and its a time to reflect, be grateful and to cherish all that we have been blessed with. While you're tucking into that yummy dinner and making memories with friends and family, take some time to admire how beautiful the world is .. and how about dressing yourself up a little too for those happy celebrations?
In today's post we are showing you how to achieve this simple yet pretty Thanksgiving look. We've drawn inspiration from the colors of the environment and dressed up an autumn staple .. suedette! We think everyone will look gorgeous with this look and we would love to see your recreations, so dont forget to tag us on Insta with
Start with your face clean, dry and moisturised to help your makeup apply smoothly.
Take a contour powder - we are using the BH Cosmetics 'Contour and Blush' palette in 'shade 1' and your Bella&Bear 'Jungle Cat' brush and begin to contour the face. Taper the cheekbones, the temples and the sides of the nose. This will sculpt the face and give your look that something extra special.
Now blend your contour by applying your foundation. We are using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco and our Bella&Bear 'Lynx' Kabuki brush to buff and blend over the face to flawless perfection!
To cover any blemishes and dark patches we are using the Maybelline 'Fit Me' concealer and our Bella&Bear 'Ocelot' large concealer brush. Create a triangle under your eyes and blend outward for perfect concealing.
To start work on the eyes we are blending a matte brow shadow into the crease with our Bella&Bear 'Jaguarundy' brush. We are using the Essence 'All About Nudes' palette and applying in a windscreen wiper motion.
Next we are working some orange pearl shadow over the lid with our Bella&Bear 'Iromote' brush. This brings some vibrancy and an autumnal feel to the look. We are using the BH Cosmetics 'Take Me to Brazil' palette.
To define the eyes and make them mystical, we are applying some metallic shadow - like the MUA 'Copper' mono shadow into the lower waterline with the angles brush end of our Bella&Bear 'Iberian Lynx' brow brush.
We are then balancing out the eyes by applying the same brown matte shadow along the lower lashline with our Bella&Bear 'Fishing Cat' brush and softening the line with our Bella&bear 'Leopard Cat' brush.
Doing this will frame the eyes gorgeously and give a well rounded look
Next, we are adding an extended wing to the eyes with NYX 'The Curve' eyeliner. We start in the middle and wing out on the outer corner of the eye and then go back and extend the line down to the inner corner of the eye for dramatic flair.
We are curling the lashes with our Bella&Bear Eye and mighty curler for some lift and applying a base coat of Urban Decays Perversion mascara.
To give the look some added elegance, we are applying some Ardell demi wispies lashes. They are natural but voluminous and will take the look from everyday to special day.
We find it easiest to apply our lashes with our Bella&Bear angled tweezers as we can apply them as close to the lashline as possible!
We are finishing the eyes by framing them with some structured brows. Use the Bella&Bear Iberian lynx spoolie to shape the brows and then use the angled brush end to fill them in.
To give the face some colour we are applying some rose shimmer blush to the face with our Bella&Bear 'Cheetah' duo fibre powder brush. We have used the ELF Contour and blush duo in 'St Lucia' here.
We wanted to exaggerate the lips for this look so we have used the Essence 'HoneyBerry' lip pencil and given our lips a rounded shape. We then blended the line and filled the lips in with some M.A.C 'Velvet Teddy' lipstick. This nude lips compliments the dramatic eye look perfectly.
To finsih the look we are gently highlighting with a champagne highlighter like the MakeUp Revolution Ultra sculpt palette in 'light-medium '. We have used our Bella&Bear 'Jungle Cat' brush to highlight the cheekbones, brow bones, tip of the nose and cupids bow.
We also decided to give our hair a simple but special style to compliment the makeup look!
We are starting by brushing through the hair with our Bella&Bear 'The Bear' Paddle Brush and straightening as we go.
We then took a section of hair from the back of the crown and backcombed for some volume, We pinned it back and gently brushed over to smooth it out.
We then repeated the steps with the front section of hair for a beautiful half-up do. You could add some accessories to your hair but we decided to let our makeup do the talking.
For our outfit, we went with a fall staple - suedette. This key trend can be dressed up or down and looks fabulous on everyone. We wore a camel suedette dress with a long sleeve ribbed black top underneath for warmth. We added tights and our fave over the knee boots and finished with this darling leaf necklace!
You are now rockin' the perfect Thankgiving look - it's simple but pretty and is perfect for the season!
