Homemade Rose Petal Sugar Scrub
With only 2 weeks until the most romantic day of the year, we wanted to show you a quick D.I.Y that will leave everyone feeling extra special.
Whether you make this gorgeous beauty treat for your valentine or just for your girlfriends, it will always be appreciated and it can be whipped up in just 10 minutes!
You could even use your very own valentines bouquet to make this luxurious sugar scrub for yourself once they start to wilt - after all why waste a beautiful bunch of roses?!
So, to make your own jar of rose petal sugar scrub which will leave skin soft and glowing you are going to need to gather 3 simple ingredients;
. 1 and a half cups white sugar
. 1/4 cup baby oil (or liquid coconut oil)
. 12-15 rose petals
Plus
. A decorative Jar and some ribbon
. A processor / Blender
Simply measure your ingredients (you can make more or less depending on how many jars you want to gift) and pop them into the blender and blend until you are happy with the consistency. If you prefer a fluffier scrub instead of a coarser one, you can add in a few extra drops of baby oil at a time until you are happy with it.
And, if you don't have a blender, don't panic! Simply tear up the petals a little and place all your ingredients into a bowl, you can then mix it by hand until you are happy with the consistency.
If you are using pink rose petals like us you will see your scrub turn a gorgeous purplely-pink shade, but you could use whichever colour petals you prefer depending on your colour theme!
Once the scrub is ready, carefully scoop it into the jar and pop the lid on. You can then decorate it with ribbons and labels for the perfect finishing touches. Beautiful!
This scrub can be used in the shower to remove dead skin, leaving you feeling soft, smooth & supple. It smells gorgeous and looks so pretty atop a bathroom shelf!
Apply your favourite moisturiser after use for glowing, silky skin that is the envy of everybody!
What is your favourite D.I.Y body treat?!
