Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's tips on staying Beautiful

What are your top Summer beauty trends?
"I steer away from trends, I always have and I probably always will. I’m not one for anything trendy. My approach to beauty has always been not to hide, but to enhance. I don’t want to look back on a picture in five or ten years’ time and cringe at some weird trend I was into. I like to keep things really natural and simple when it comes to hair and makeup, I like to keep it pretty and polished."
What's your usual skincare routine?
"My approach to trends is the same for skincare: I want to keep it simple. I think ‘how can I use the least amount of products?’ You know we throw so much at our bodies now and put so much into them and really what works, or seems to for me at least, is keeping things simple. I don’t want to spend 15 minutes putting on all different kinds of creams and things on in the morning and then again in the evening.
"I love using the ModelCo Rosehip Oil with or without my usual moisturiser, but it just depends, you need to look at what your skin needs every day and work out what’s right for you – for me it took a while to work out which products to steer away from and what products I should use. I’m very lucky I have an Esthetician [faciailist and skincare professional] that I work with who helps me, I’m very diligent about my skin. My whole world is based on my skin so I pay special attention to it. But it’s about figuring out what works and what doesn’t work for your skin."
Your top 5 beauty products?
“I definitely recommend an SPF, especially going into Summer and for me in LA and for you guys in Australia I’m sure you know all about it, but it’s just so important to use an SPF every single day.
“I use a gel or cream cleanser in the evening to remove my makeup and in the morning to start my day. I like to use a gentle cleanser, something that’s not too stripping but is also getting the skin really clean but hydrated. For me that’s the first thing I like to use.
“I love the ModelCo Replenishing Rose Mist ($20), It’s great for carrying in my handbag during the day to freshen my makeup or to take on the plane or to just use throughout the day. It’s amazing really rejuvenating and replenishing. During the day if you’re feeling a little dry, and you just want to make everything glow again, it just smells amazing and great a little pick-me-up during the day. I can use it every couple of hours, it’s just so nice.
“I also love the ModelCo Rosehip Oil ($20), which is already the biggest seller Shelley [Barrett, ModelCo’s CEO and founder] has told me, this again smells beautiful. I think a lot of people tend to shy away from oils, I know I used to, and I spoke to the skincare expert who came today and she said a proper oil for the skin is very important and it really helps to re-balance the PH levels in our skin and shouldn’t make us break out.
"I’m also a really big fan of the ModelCo Instant Miracle Booster ($35), especially when I get off the plane it gives you that instant glow and it’s really hydrating and rejuvenating. It’s really good to use both in the morning and the evening, you can use it every day, but I particularly love it when I’m travelling."
How do you pamper yourself? What treatments do you like to have?
"I have a facial as often as I need, it’s great because she’ll clean my skin out. Especially when I’m at work all day and have tonnes of makeup on and you’re traveling all the time you need someone who can just put you all back together and give all the goodness back into my skin that I otherwise can’t get."
