Cute Holiday Elf Makeup
Have you seen those cheeky Elf on a Shelf photos popping up everywhere?! They're just so cute and mischievous and we want tto join in on their fun, so today we are showing you how to get this adorable elf look!
Were going to start with our brows - brushing them through using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow brush.
Then, using the brush end we are going to work some Collection brow bar powder through the hairs to define the shape and fill in sparser areas. You can brush through with the spoolie again to remove any excess product.
Lets carve out the brows now. Using our Bella&Bear Golden Cat concealer brush and some Urban Decay Naked skin concealer, we outline the brows and pull the product outward to blend it into our foundation later on.
Now lets work on those eyes - we want them classic with just a hint of shimmer! We start by applying a primer over the lid and up to the brow bone to lock in our shadows and stop them from creasing. Our fave is the Benefit Stay dont stray primer.
Now, using our Bella&Bear Sand cat brush we work a matte cream shadow over the lid and up to the brow bone just to even out the colour of lid. We are using Urban Decay Naked reloaded palette for this look.
Next, we take our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a matte brown (bucked) shadow and we work it into the crease of the eye with a windscreen wiping motion,
Lets add that shimmer now! We are picking up the Shrine Gold Glitter Lid liquid shadow and we are pressing it onto the centre of the lid for a dose of sparkle!
We want to define the eyes now to make them super cute. Taking our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner and some ELF cream liner we draw in a long thin wing along the upper lash line.
Taking our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curler now, we curl the lashes for some lift, holding for 20 seconds on each eye. We lock that curl in with a coat of Benefit Theyre real mascara.
Then, to make the lashes extra fluttery we are adding some falsies on. We use our Bella&Bear Angled tweezes to place some Ardell Demi-wispies as close to the natural lash line as possible.
Moving onto our skin now, we have to start with a primer to make our base even, poreless and flawless. We use the Bodyshop Instablur primer for this.
Now, we're taking our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki and a full coverage foundation. We blend some Estee Lauder Doublewear with a couple of drops of the Gerard Cosmetics BB+ illumination creme and we work it onto the skin in circular motions for a streak free, smooth finish.
We want to add concealer now to disguise any problem areas. Taking our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush and some more of that UD Concealer we are going to mask any dark circles or blemishes.
Next, we need to set that concealer in place to prevent it from sliding or creasing. We use our Bella&Bear Tiger brush and some Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder and we press it onto our concealer to set it.
Now, lets lock that base in place with a few pumps of the Revolution Oil control fixing spray.
Lets work on those elf-isms now! We are going to pick up our Bella&Bear Cheetah duo fiber podwer brush and a true matte pink blush - we love NYX Sweetcheeks blush in DayDream and we are going to generously apply it to the apples of the cheeks with a swirling motion.
To follow, lets take our Bella&Bear Caracal liner brush and the Revolution brow ink cushion - we are going to use this duo to create some faux freckles over the cheeks and the nose, super cute!
Once you've allowed that some time to try, just dust over with your Bella&Bear Tiger brush and setting powder again to diffuse the ink and make for a more soft, natural finish.
We've finished on our face, now lets work on the lips! We're going with a classic Christmas red! But, first we have to line the lips to keep our lip products from bleeding out and to define the shape of the lips. Were using the Bourjois Lip Pencil in Tout Rouge.
Now, using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush we paint the lips with some Bodyshop Berry Glaze. Mwah!
As a final touch, we are pressing some Colourpop Dark Sea Glitter Gel over the high points of the cheeks and temples for some super festive cheer!
As for our hair - we want it festive too! We are going to begin by brushing through the hair using our Bella&Bear Brush on You detangler for knot free, sleek locks.
Then we are making pigtail braids in the hair, fairly tight, and we are pinning them to the back of the head as flat as possible,.
Finally, we are pulling on our green wig and topping it off with a Christmas hat and red sparkly bow! So cute!
