Katy Perry is the queen of glamour, no question - whether its a cupcake getup or vintage chic! But with all that makeup, she must have a killer skin care regimen to keep her glowing complexion. Today we're looking to the queen herself to get some top skincare tips!

Katy is known to be a long time user, and lover, of the brand Proactiv and she credits the products for helping to reduce her adult acne - in fact, shes been using it since she was 23. You can watch her Proactive ad, where she explains that after spending thousands of dollars on unsuccessful products, she turned to the budget friendly range and it worked wonders on her skin - and confidence! Alongside Proactiv Katy recommends steaming your face. She says “You can go to your gym or boil a pot of water over the oven and make some steam”. We love this as it is something super simple yet effective!

For her night time routine Katy says that she reaches for the Shu Uemura cleansing oil. Katy explains that she has been a fan of it ever since Madonna's makeup artist dressed her face 8 years ago. She says she was adamant that she didn't like oils but after using it the game was changed for her! Katy apparently applies the oil with dry hands, and rinses it off with a warm cloth, leaving any residue on to act as a moisturiser!

As well as all this Katy has mentioned that she tries to avoid fake tannners, saying that ”I’ve always regretted it even with the best tanners in the world and even exfoliating right before it. I can’t— the science hasn’t been perfected yet.” 

And finally, Katy credits her radiant glow to her healthy eating habits! She says 'In the past year, I’ve eaten better than I have ever eaten — less fast food, less sugar — and the sustainability of my body is so much better. My face just glows."
