Lipstick Hacks 101
A swipe of your fave lipstick can really pull a look together, but we all know that lipstick can also be tricky. There's the perfect application (uhh, how?!), keeping it in place (there is a way) and of course, cleaning up any mistakes. Today we are here with our Lipstick Hacks 101 guide, teaching you everything you need to know about keeping your lipstick on point from morning 'til night.
MAKE IT LAST ALL DAY
Lots of lipsticks promise to last all day, but very few actually do. The good news, though, is that there a little trick you can do to help keep your lipstick in its place for a good few hours. Simply apply your lipstick, place a single ply of tissue over the lips and use your Bella&Bear Leopard Face Brush to gently blot a small amount of translucent powder over the lips - this will form a base for your lipstick giving it longer wear time. You can finish by applying another coat of your lipstick to seal it all in place.
CLEAN IT UP
To neaten up the edges of your lipstick and make them have super clean lines, simply use your Bella&Bear Golden Cat Concealer Brush to swipe concealer around the edges of the lips. This will also make your lips pop!
KEEP YOUR TEETH LIPSTICK FREE
There is seriously nothing worse than having lipstick smeared on your teeth, except perhaps when you don't realise until the end of the day! Fear not, we have a trick to stop this. After you've finished applying your lipstick simply put your pointing finger into your mouth and close your lips around it.While your lips are closed still, pull your finger out. This motion catches all of the product which would have gone onto your teeth, so you can smile worry free!
USE A LIP LINER
Believe it or not, there is no correct order to applying your lip products. Some ladies like to apply their lip liner first, while other prefer to apply it after .. the key is just to make sure you apply some! It'll help keep your lipstick in place and prevent it from feathering and bleeding around the edges.
STOP IT TRANSFERRING
Don't you just hate it when you take a sip of your drink and your beautifully applied lipstick just transfers straight onto the glass. You can stop this from happening, and its super simple. Simply lick your lips before you take a sip. It works!
APPLY IT RIGHT
The way to get that perfect, evenly applied lipstick is to keep your lips relaxed. Be sure to keep the lips relaxed and slightly open (as if you are saying 'oh') and then use your Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush to apply your fave lip product!
EXFOLIATE
As with everything in life, the key to success is to prep! Lipstick needs a smooth, soft base to achieve the perfect application so be sure to prep the lips with exfoliation. The best way to do this is to apply a thin layer of balm and use the spoolie end of your Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow Brush to run over the lips and remove flaky or dead skin! Et voila, super smooth lips for a perfect lipstick application!
GIVE IT A DIFFUSED LOOK
