4th July Look

Independence day is almost here and we are so looking forward to celebrating! Todays look brings together red, white and blue in all their glory.

We want to create a defined look to the face, so we are starting by contouring the face. We're using our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush and the BH Cosmetics Contour and Blush Palette and gently working the powder along the cheekbones, around the jawline, down the sides of the nose and around the temples.

To follow, we are taking our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki brush and some Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation mixed in with a couple of drops of Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination Creme and gently buffing it all over the face. This is the ultimate combo for a flawless finish.

To cover any problem areas and to bring extra light to the face we are applying some Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. We've applied this under the eyes, around the forehead, down the centre of the nose and along the sides of the face and we are blending outwards with our Bella&Bear Ocelot Large Concealer brush.

For the eyes, we want it to be all about the liner, however we still want to give the eyes a nice shape. So, we are going to start by applying some Benefit Stay dont Stray eyeshadow primer all over the eyelid and then go in with a matte cream eyeshadow. We are using our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy brush to apply it all over the lid and up to the brow bone. This will give your eyes an even tone and will also make the colours you use pop!

To give the eyes a larger appearance we are using a pale golden shimmer and applying into the crease of the eye with our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush. The golden shimmer shadow will work perfectly with the eyeliner colour combo we are going for.

To start the liner we are taking our Topshop liner in Cobalt Blue and creating an extended, delicate wing with it. Once dried, we are going in with our Bella&Bear Caracal eyeliner brush and a matte royal blue shadow (we're using the BH Cosmetics take me to brazil palette) and gently going over the line to intensify the colour.

We are following this by grabbing our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush and a matte red shadow (we're using the BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil palette, again) and lining the outer two thirds of the lower lashline, joining the line up to the upper wing.

To really make the eyes pop and set the colour off we have applied some black kohl pencil to the lower waterline. We are then applying a light coat of Urban Decays Perversion mascara.

We want the eyes to be all about the red, white and blue - but that doesn't mean that we cant bat those lashes. We have selected a fine, but elegant pair of lashes for this look - the Revlon Volumize V103, and we are using our Bella&Bear angled tweezers to apply them as close to the natural lashline as possible.

Let's frame the eyes by filling in those brows. To start, we are brushing the brow hair into shape with the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush. We are then picking up our Freedom Makeup brow Pomade and applying it in stroke motions, with the angled brush end of the Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brush, this will give a natural finish to the brows. Finally, we are going in with the spoolie end again and gently brushing through the brows to disperse any excess products. We decided to apply some brow mascara to keep our brows in place through every celebration - our favourite is Benefit Gimme Brow Gel.

We want to add some extra sparkle to the look, so we are taking some self adhesive silver gems and applying them to the inner corner of each eye. You can pick these up in most craft stores. We're using our Bella&Bear pointed tweezers to apply the gems neatly and evenly onto each eye.

Lets add some colour to the face. We are taking our Bella&Bear Jungle Cat brush and a matte bronzer (we love the ELF Bronzing quad as its got great variety), and we're gently dusting it along the cheekbones and over the temples.

For a signature pout, its gotta be red! Start by lining the lips with a red lipliner - you can fill the lips in too if you like, to help keep your lipstick in place for longer. We then took our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush and some KIKO 3D Instant Volume lipgloss in 'Strawberry Red' and applied it carefully and neatly to the lips. Our Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush is perfect for applying your darker lipsticks as it gives you great control and allows you to keep within 'the lines' of your lips without smudging or feathering.

To bring the 'white' into the look (and give your face a gorgeous glow), lets apply a highlight. We're using our Bella&Bear Cheetah duo fibre powder brush and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow kit in 'Gleam' and gently sweeping it over the high points of the cheeks, the tip of the nose, the browbones, the inner corners of the eyes and the cupids bow. This brush is perfect as it picks up just the right amount of powder and applies it softly - so you don't get left looking like a disco ball!

We decided that we wanted to add some more sparkle to the look, so we applied 3 more gems just underneath the red liner on the eyes. You can finish this look with a cute bow or hair scarf - and don't forget to spritz with some setting spray, we love Makeup Revolutions Oil Control Fix Spray.
