Festive Glam Look
The festive season is in full swing and so are all of those fun traditions we love so much; gift shopping, seasonal markets, office parties and more. In todays post, we are showing you how to get a simple yet glam look which is perfect for any of those occasions. You can keep it casual with a festive jumper or dress it up with your most sparkly accessories and fanciest dress!
Lets start with our face and base.
Begin by applying you foundation, we are using the Estee Lauder double wear foundation with our Bella&Bear 'The Lynx' flat kabuki brush for a perfectly flawless finish. be sure to buff the product onto your face for the most smooth application.
Now you can apply some concealer to any areas of concern. We are applying the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer to the area under the eyes and blending outwards with our Bella&Bear Ocelot large concealer brush. Blending the product outward will allow maximum light to hit the face and will really disguise those dark circles.
To set the concealer, use a powder and gently brush on with your Bella&Bear Tiger large powder brush. We are using the Rimmel London Stay Matte powder to do this.
For the eyes, we are going for a minimal, but glam look, so to keep any shadow in place, use some primer all over the lids. We love Benefit Stay Don't Stray, which we pat on with our ring finger.
We are then going in with our Bella&Bear Pampas cat brush and a matte cream shadow. We are applying this all over the lid and right up to the brow bone.
To give the eye a defined look, we are taking our Bella&Bear Iberian lynx brow brush and a matte taupe shadow. We are then drawing a line into the crease of the eye with the angled end of the brush. This line may look quite blunt right now, but dont panic. We are gently flicking the line up at the outer corner of the eye to create a subtle wing.
We are now taking our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush and blending out the top of the line we just created. This will blend the shadow into the crease, making it less harsh and more natural.
Taking inspiration from the 60's now, we are using a white shimmer shadow and out Bella&Bear Iromote brush and pressing it over the lid, just under the line. This will open the eye, while the line will give it shape and definition.
If you have covered over the line at all, now is the time for touch ups.
To make the eyes a touch festive, we are applying a shimmer, forest green shadow under the bottom lash line, using the angled end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brush.
Now, to give the eyes some femininity, we are using a liquid black liner and our Bella&Bear Caracal eyeliner brush to create an extended, but very thin wing, and joining it to the end of the eyeshadow line we created. We are using the Rimmel London glam eyes liner.
To finish the eyes, we are adding a swipe of mascara to our top and bottom lashes and then applying some natural looking falsies. We are using the Ardell demi wispies and using our Bella&Bear slanted tweezers to apply them as close to the lash line as possible.
If you want this look to be slightly more day-to-day, then just apply mascara and skip the falsies step.
Brow power!
Lets add some brow game by shaping and filling in some strong brows.
We are using our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx angled brush with some Freedom makeup brow pomade and we are giving our brows a defined look with a high arch and extended tail.
We are then using the spoolie end of the Iberian lynx to brush through the brows and evenly disperse the product.
To give the face a delicate flush of color, we applying some NYX blush in Rose Garden to the apples of our cheeks with our Bella&Bear Cheetah duo fiber powder brush.
We are going to add a statement lip to the look to make it ultra festive, but first, its essential to apply some lipbalm. This will stop the lip application from being flaky and crumbly and will allow it to be smooth and clean. We love the EOS Lip balms for this!
Now its time for that statement lip. As always, you should start by lining the lips; this will stop your lipstick from bleeding, feathering and fading too fast. We are opting for a red lip for this look, so we are liming our lips with a corresponding lip liner - essence in Red Blush
We are then filling in the lips with our ELF matte lip crayon in Rich Red. This cherry red just screams chirtsmas and the creamy forumula is super moisturising and comfrtbale to wear!
Now, you can let your locks flow and pull on your favorite outfit. We've gone for this retro 'home alone' knit from Boohoo!
