Reindeer Glam look
During the festive season, there are lots of parties and fun things to attend, and we think its extra fun to add a special Christmas touch to your look.
You might have seen our happy little elf look, but if it wasn't for you, how about trying our a-deer-able reindeer look?! Its simple and so cute!
We are starting by applying our favourite Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation all over the face with our Bella&Bear Lynx flat kabuki brush; buffing in circles for a most flawless application.
We are following this by starting our contour. This look relies on a strong contour, as deer have a very structured, yet dainty face, and we want to reflect that. Taking our Hoola powder by Benefit and our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush, we are contouring the sides of the nose into the crease of the eyes, the hollows of the cheeks, the temples and the jawline.
Next we are starting work on the eyes. We are deepening the contour on the outer corner of the eye with our Bella&Bear Leopard Cat pencil brush and a matte taupe shadow - like the shade 'Foxy' from the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.
To extend the eyes and give them that elegant almond shape like a deer we are using the same Bella&Bear Leopard cat brush with some matte black shadow. We are creating a soft wing with the shadow and extending it down under the lower lashline.
To give the eyes some elegant shimmer and to help them to appear more open, we are using our Bella&Bear Iromote brush to press a pearl shadow (like 'Bootycall' from the Urban Decay naked 2 Palette) onto the lid and into the inner corner of the eye.
We are following this by taking our Bella&Bear caracal eyeliner brush and a black liquid liner and creating an extended win on the eye. We are also drawing this down right past the inner corner of the eye to further emphasize the almond shape of the eye.
To give the eyes a little extra definition, we are taking our Benefit Bad Gal khol pencil and running it along the lower waterline.
Next up, we applied a sweep of Too faced Better than Sex Mascara and to make the eyes look extra feminine and dainty, we are using our Bella&Bear slanted tweezers to apply Ardell Demi Wispies as close to the lashline as possible..
Lets create that delicate deer nose. Using the angled brush end of our Bella&Bear Iberian lynx brow brush and our pencil liner, we are drawing on the nose over our own nose and we are extended it down to a soft upside down triangle shape.
We are then blocking out the top lip with foundation and drawing a straight line from the deer nose down to the top lip.
To give the look some angelic shimmer we are using our Bella&bear Jungle Cat brush and a champagne highlighter - like the Make Up Revolution ultra Sculpt kit - and applying it along the cheekbones, the brow bones and down the center of the nose.
We are finishing the look with some characteristic white spots just below the temples. We are drawing these on with a simple white eyeliner pencil. This is optional as not all deer have these markings, but it is very sweet and distinguishing!
To add to the look, we are wearing an adorable antler headband and also our faux fur collar! You could finish this with a black dress and tights and some over-the-knee boots to lengthen the legs! You could even draw some more white spots across the shoulders for continuity!
