Fiery Autumn Look
Autumn is in full swing. The mornings are crisp, the evenings are dark, the leaves are colourful. So, what better time to break out the earthier toned shadows and berry lips? Wherever you are and whatever season you're enjoying right now, this look is just beautiful and everyone can rock it!
We want a smooth, even base for our makeup, so after applying our fave moisturiser we are going to apply a primer all over the face. We're using the Benefit 'That Gal' Primer and are smoothing it all over the face with our fingers.
After the primer has settled, we are going to go in with an under-foundation glow. This is an optional step but we think its great! We're reaching for the Jelly PongPong All Over Glow and we are working it on to the face with our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki brush.
Now, lets get that base applied. For our foundation, we are using the Clarins True Radiance Foundation. We're gently buffing this over the face and blending into the neck with our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki brush for a flawless finish.
After allowing our foundation to settle we are going in with concealer. We're applying some Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (in a shade lighter than our foundation) to the area under the eyes, down the centre of the nose, on the chin and in a fan shape on the forehead. You can also use your concealer to disguise any blemishes. We are blending our concealer outward on the face with our Bella&Bear Ocelot Large Concealer Brush. This will bring lots of light to the face giving you a radiant glow.
To set our concealer we are going to use a translucent powder. Use your Bella&Bear Iromote brush to gently press the powder over your concealer, setting it and keeping it in place. We are loving the ELF Studio HD Powder.
Let's start work on the eyes. To ensure our eye makeup doesn't budge all day, we are priming the eyelids with Benefit Stay Dont Stray, working it into the eyelid gently with our fingertips.
We are using the Morphe Nature Glow palette for the shadows in this look. We're then going to pick up our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat Cat brush and a matte burnt orange shadow and working it into the high crease with a windscreen wiper motion.
To follow we are grabbing our Bella&Bear Leopard Cat Pencil Brush and a matte deep brown shadow and applying it all over the eyelid, blending into the crease for a seamless finish.
We are then filling in the remainder of the lid with a matte mustard shadow, blending it all together with our Bella&Bear Sand Cat Fluffy brush.
To make the look super autumnal and glitzy, we are taking our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush and a a copper glitter or shimmer shadow and we are pressing it over the lid, packing it on. Also, to give the eyes a little highlight we are going to apply a gold shimmer to the inner corners using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush.
We are also taking a little white shadow on our finger and just highlighting the brow bone with it!
Let's make those eyes sassy! Taking our Bella&Bear Caracal Eyeliner brush and some black liner - like the ELF cream liner - we are drawing a wing to the top lashline, extending it out for extra drama.
After applying a coat of Maybellines Lash Sensational mascara we are taking our Bella&Bear angled tweezers and applying a pair of Red Cherry #WSP lashes as close to the lashline as possible. As the eye makeup is quite dramatic a pair of lashes will balance them out.
To frame the eyes and help shape the face we are going to fill in the brows. Starting with the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Duo Brow Brush we are going to lightly brush the brows into the desired shape, making sure the hairs are neat and tidy.
We are then using the angled brush end and some NYX Tame&Frame Brow Pomade and we are going to fill in and define the brows. You can use the brush to give a great arch to the brows and, because it is a precision angled brush, you can use hair like strokes to keep the brows looking natural.
Finish the brows with another brush through with the spoolie to disperse any excess product and then use a brow mascara, such as The Body Shop Brow&Lash Gel, to keep them set in place all day!
Let's add some structure and colour back to the face. We are taking our BH Cosmetics Contour&Blush palette and our Bella&Bear Leopard Face Brush and we are using a dark contour shade to define the cheekbones and the temples - for an extra defined look you can contour the sides of the nose and the jawline too. Don't forget to start out lightly with this and build up the colour to a desirable look, rather than going full on right away.
Next we are picking up our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Powder brush and a rose matte blush and we are dusting it just over the apples of the cheeks for a cute flush of colour.
Let's do lips! We want to achieve quite a full pout for this look so we are starting by slightly over-lining the lips with the Essence lip pencil in '05 Soft Berry' and we are then filling them in with our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush and the Makeup Revolution Liphug in 'Still Missing My Baby' - This is quite an intense colour so be sure to apply slowly and precisely to avoid any mishaps! If you want a little extra glitz (like we did!) then top the lips with the MUA Metallic Liquid Lips in Bedazzle, making sure to apply evenly!
Finish by misting the face some Urban Decay All Nighter to set the look in place all day!
Now you can grab your fave coffee and accessories and get into the Fall spirit! We absolutely love this look and it is very versatile, too - you can have less shimmer for a more casual version and you can even add a little highlight for full on glam!
Don't forget that you can find all of the Bella&Bear tools listed in today's tutorial in our online store - and you can share a snap of your fave Fall look with us on Insta, Facebook or Twitter!
