Easter Egg Look

Easter is here, time to eat delicious food with family, enjoy the Spring sunshine and even indulge in some delicious Easter eggs. Spring is a colourful season, from the new blooms and blossoms, to the adorable Easter treats and today we are back with a look inspired by those treats - it's perfect for an Easter lunch, cocktails with friends or even an Easter shopping trip. The bright shadows will make your eyes pop and the blush lips will give you a perfect pout.

To start we are applying a primer to the skin for a smooth and even base, which equals flawless base application. We are using the Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow Liquid and we're buffing it over the Skin with our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki Brush.

Next we are going to apply our foundation, we're using a full coverage one for a fresh, young looking skin. We're using the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and we're blending it over the skin with our Bella&Bear Jaguar Angled Kabuki; blending the product outward for a seamless finish, making sure to also bring it down to the neck to avoid 'tide-lines'.

We are now going to apply a concealer to any dark or blemished areas on the skin. We're dotting the product onto the concern areas and then alternating between our Bella&Bear Golden Cat Small Concealer Brush and Bella&Bear Ocelot Concealer Brush, again blending the product outward on the face. We're using the Essence Stay All Day Concealer

Although we want this look to be dewy and fresh, it is still important to apply a powder over the concealer to keep it in place all day. So, we are taking some ELF Studio HD Powder in 'Sheer' and our Bella&Bear Leopard Face Brush and we are gently pressing the powder just onto the areas where we applied concealer. If you prefer a matte look then go ahead and apply your powder all over the face!

As this look is going to feature bold eyes we want to apply a good eye shadow primer. We're taking the Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion and we're using our ring finger to apply it over the lid and right up to the brow bone. We are then going in with our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a transition eye shadow - this is a light matte eye shadow (such as a taupe or mauve) which is applied to the crease of the eye to make a seamless blend between coloured eye shadows and the natural colour of the skin around the eye. We are using a matte taupe from the Makeup Revolution Flawless Matte Palette for this look.

Let's start work with those bright colours! First of all We are going to use a base shadow. We are using the Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo Shadow in shade 'Turquoise Forever' and we are using our Bella&Bear Black Footed Cat Brush to apply it all over the lid and up to the crease. You may have to work the product to warm it up before applying. If you don't have this you could alternatively use a white eye shadow for your base as it will also make the colours pop.

Now we are taking our Bella&Bear Iromote Brush and a turquoise blue eye shadow - from the BH Cosmetics Take Me to Brazil palette -  and we are pressing it on top of the base shadow. This will intensify the colour and will lock it in place. You can go back in with your Bella&Bear Pampas Cat brush and blend everything together with the transition shade too if you feel you need to.

Next we are going to line the eyes to define them and enhance them. Taking our Bella&Bear Serval Angled Liner brush and a black eyeliner (we're using the ELF Cream Liner) we are creating an extended line along the lash line and a subtle wing, too. You can do this as thick or as thin as you prefer.

To balance out the bold colour on the top lid we are going to also apply a colour along the lower lash line. We've opted for purple but pink would look cute too. Again, we are going in with a base product - this time we are using the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in 'Endless Purple' and we are applying it along the lower lash line with our Bella&Bear Fishing Cat brush. We are then going over this we a metallic purple shadow - we are using the BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette again -  and we're pressing it on with the Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush.

To finish the eyes we are going to apply a coat of our fave mascara - TooFaced Better Than Sex - to the bottom and top lashes and we are then using our Bella&Bear angled tweezers to apply a set of fanned out falsies as close to the lash line as possible. We love the Ardell Demi Wispies for this as they really set off the look and make the eyes look super feminine

To frame the eyes we are going to fill in the brows. Using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush we are grooming and shaping the brows and then taking some Freedom Makeup brow pomade we are using the angled brush end to fill in the brows using stroke movements for a natural finish. You can then go in with the spoolie end again to brush through and neaten up the brow hairs and disperse any excess product.

Let's add a little definition and structure to the face with some light bronzing. We're picking up our Bella&Bear Bobcat Angled Blush brush and we're using it to dust the cheekbones and temples with a matte bronzer - hint; we love the Benefit Hoola bronzer.

To follow we are going in with a little flush of highlight. The skin is already dewy but highlight but bring some extra radiance and light to the face. We're using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber powder brush to lightly brush the high points of the face with our powder highlight (we're using the IHeartMakeup Blushing heart in 'Iced Hearts') -the cheekbones, the brow bones, the nose and the cupids bow.

To pull the look together we are going to apply a neutral lip colour. We want the focus of this look to be the bold eyes so we are going in with some Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in 'Buttercup' and we're using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush to apply it evenly over the lips.

Finally we are spritzing the face with a setting spray to keep everything in place all day long. Our faves are the Makeup Revolution Oil control spray and the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

You know that the look just inst complete until we've styled our hair! We wanted to go kooky-cute to match the look so we started by brushing the hair into a centre part, using our Bella&Bear The Bear paddle brush to remove any tangles and give a shiny finish.

Next we are separating the hair into 2 sections, a top and bottom section. You'll need to leave the top section loose so secure the bottom section away with a hairband.

Next we are going to split the top section of hair into two new sections - one on each side of the head. Taking the first section we are going to hold it out from the head and begin to twist it, allowing it to wrap around itself in a bun shape and then we are securing it to the head with a hair band or bobby pin (depending on how thick your hair is!).

Repeat this step on the other side and make sure everything is secure. You can then un-tie the bottom section of hair and style it however you wish. We left ours straight but curls would look cute too!

We also added a little glitter to our hair for extra sparkle! We hope you enjoyed this bolder spin on traditional Easter pastels! It's so fun to rock and you'll get tons of compliments! Don't forget to wash your brushes after and tag us in your Easter selfies! We might even share it!
