Lilac spring time look
As Springtime begins to awaken and we start to see a little more colour in the world, we thought it would be fun to put together a little seasonal look in that oh-so trendy hue; pastel! Today, were showing you how to get this dainty lilac look for all your Spring adventures!
Lets start with our brows here. We take the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow Brush and we are lightly brushing through the hairs to tame and shape them.
We then use the brush end and some ABH Dipbrow pomade and we begin to fill in the brows, defining the shape and filling in any sparser areas. You can go back through with the spoolie end once again to soften the look of the brows here.
Now, we are using our Bella&Bear Golden cat brush and a little Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and we are going to 'carve out' the brows. We are outlining them with the concealer and pulling it outward to blend into our foundation later. This will make the brows extra sharp.
Lets begin on the eyes now. We are starting with some Benefit Stay Dont Stray Primer to lock our shadows in place and make them super vibrant.
Next, taking our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush and a matte purple shadow - we're using the Colourpop Lilac you alot palette for this look, and this shade is 'Iffy;'- we are brushing it onto the inner and outer corners of the eyes and along the crease of the eye with a windscreen wiping motion.
Next, we are taking our Golden cat brush again and some more of that concealer and we are applying it to the blank area on the lid.
To top that we are taking our Bella&Bear Jaguaundy brush and a matte pastel lilac shadow (we're using Zoned out from the same colourpop palette) and we are blending it into the darker shadow on the corners of the eyes.
Lets add a little sparkle now. We are now picking up our Bella&Bear Marble cat brush and we are spritzing it with some Revolution Oil control fixing spray, we then dip it into a lilac shimmer shadow (we're using Trainwreck) and we are pressing it ontop of that lighter lilac shadow in the centre of the lid. You can repeat and build this up until you are happy with the glisten!
Now, we want to think about lining the eyes. We are going to take our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and some Essence liner cushion and we are drawing a thin wing along the upper lash line.
Its time for some lashes! As always, we begin by curling the lashes using our famous Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty Lash curlers, holding for 20 seconds on each eye for a full and fanned effect. We lock that curl in with a coat of the Benefit Roller lash mascara.
To make the eyes super feminine we are going to add some wispy falsies. We take our Bella&Bear angled tweezers and some GWA Unicorn lashes and we are placing them as close to the natural lash line as possible, and allowing time to dry.
Lets start on our base! We are beginning by applying some Bodyshop Vitamin C Skin Boost all over the face to act as our primer. This will make our base poreless and flaweless.
We are going to use a full coverage foundation for this look. We take some Bodyshop Fresh Nude foundation mixed with a little Bodyshop drops of glow lumiser and we buff it over the face using our Bella&Bear Jauguar angled kabuki.
Lets add some concealer now to disguise any problem areas. We are using more of the Urban Decay Naked skin concealer and we are using it along with our Bella&Bear ocelot concealer brush to cover any dark circles or blemishes.
We want our skin to be dewy and fresh for this look but we still need to set that concealer so we are taking our Bella&Bear Leopard face brush and some Laura mercier translucent powder and we are pressing it onto the concealer to set it in place and prevent it from creasing and sliding. You could dust the whole face if you prefer a matte skin.
We lock that base in place with a generous spritz of the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting spray.
Now, lets finish the eyes. We are taking our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush again with some more of that light lilac shadow and we are working it along the lower lash line, pulling it downward for a softer finish. We also add a little more of the shimmer lilac to the centre of the lower lash line to mirror our top lid.
Lets take our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush now and we are using shadow 'Ghostin' from the same colourpop palette to work as our blush. We gently dust it onto the apples of the cheeks, building up the colour until you prefer.
For a little extra glisten we are spritzing our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush with some more Revolution oil control fixing spray and using it to dust some 'fluff' shadow over the high points of the cheeks.
Its time to work on the lips! As always, we line them first to ensure any lip products don't bleed out - and to give our lips a more defined shape.
Then, we take our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush and a mauve lipstick - we are using MUA Matte lipstick in Lilac Belle - and we paint the lips with it.
Our final step is to highlight. We take our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Powder brush and an icy white highlight - we love the IHeartRevolution hearts in Iced heart - and we are dusting it along the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and onto the cupids bow.
For the hair, we want it pale so that our lilac eyes pop even more, so we are starting by brushing through the hair using our Bella&Bear Brush on you detangler to make it smooth and knot free.
We then pull the hair into 2 tight braids and pin them to the back of the head as flatly as possible and we finish by pulling on our beautiful silver wig!
Happy Spring-time!
