Autumn Glow look
Aside from all of the rich, deep colours that Fall brings, we also love the warming, golden hues; beautiful sunsets, golden leaves and, of course, shimmering makeup. This look incorporates just that - it's Fall but a little bit extra, perfect for those pumpkin patch trips, hay rides and Fall date nights.
We're starting with our eyes on this look, first priming them with some TooFaced shadow insurance to keep our colours vibrant and in place. We work this over the lid and up to the brow bone using our ring finger.
Now, we're going in with our base shade; a matte ivory (we're using Foxy from UD Naked 2) on our Bella&Bear sand cat brush and we are again working that over the lid and up to the brow bone.
Lets add some colour. Taking a burnt orange shadow on our Bella&Bear bornean bay cat brush we are working it into the crease of the eye in a windscreen wiper motion for an even application. We use the Lick&Lash 35 colour warm palette here
Lets deepen the colour with some aubergine. Using the BHCosmetics Take me Back to Brazil palette and our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy brush we are filling in the lid, packing the colour on for an intense hit.
We want to define the eyes now, so we are first putting some black shadow onto our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush and we are working it right into that outer corner.
We follow this with some liner. We use our Bella&Bear caracal liner brush to draw in a wing along the upper lash line. We like the Elf cream liner for this.
Lets lash! To kick things off we're going to curl them with our Bella&Bear eye and mighty curlers for some lift. We lock that curl in with a coat of the TooFaced Better Than Sex mascara.
Then, for a dramatic touch we're going in with some falsies. We place the GWA fantasy lashes in 'wonder' as close to the lash line as possible using our Bella&Bear angled tweezers, allowing time to dry.
Lets frame the eyes by defining the brows. We start by brushing the hairs into shape using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear iberian lynx brow brush.
Then, using some Revolution brow pomade and the brush end of the Iberian lynx, we fill in any sparser areas of the brows and define the shape.
Lets get to work on that base. As usual, we want it smooth and flawless, so we start with a primer. We're using the Benefit porefessional pearl primer here, working it over the face with our hands.
Next, we're going to work on our foundation. We're using a full coverage one here; the Estee lauder double wear is our fave - we mix it with a small amount of Jelly Pong Pong all over glow and work it over the face and neck with our famous Bella&Bear jaguar angled kabuki. Using a small amount of luminizer with the foundation will give the skin a gorgeous 'lit from within' glow to it.
Lets conceal and light. Taking some more of that Collection concealer we are using our Bella&Bear ocelot concealer brush to highlight the under eye area, the forehead and the chin, and to disguise any blemishes, blending the products outward for a seamless finish.
We want a dewy finish for this look but its important to set that concealer to prevent it from creasing and sliding. we use our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush to press some ELF HD powder onto the areas we concealed. If you have any oily skin or prefer a matte finish then go ahead and dust the whole face using your Bella&Bear Tiger brush.
You can then spritz the face with some Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray to lock that base in place. We spritz in an X shape across the face, then along the forehead and down the centre of the nose.
Although the tanning season is long gone, we still want to add a healthy flush of colour to the face, so we're taking a matte bronzer on our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush (we love Hoola by Benefit best), and we're dusting it over the hollows of the cheeks, the temples and the hairline.
Lets go back and frame those eyes. We're first filling in the lower water line with some black kohl and we're then taking our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush and using it to apply some of that same aubergine shadow along the lower lash line.
Now, for the sparkle! We're working some gold leaf adhesive onto the inner corner of the eyes using our Bella&Bear golden cat brush and we then use our Bella&Bear angled tweezers to gently lay some gold leaf over the adhesive, pressing it on lightly with our Bella&Bear Sand cat brush and allowing it to crack and crinkle naturally. If you don't have gold leaf you could also use gold skin-safe glitter or a metallic shadow!
As for the lips, we're lining them and then, we go in with our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush and paint the lips with some MUA lip velvet in Dash.
As a final touch we're going to highlight! We're using a golden highlight for this - the IHeartRevolution blushing heart in Hot Summer of Love - and we dust it over the cheekbones and the cupids bow using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber powder brush. We also highlight the centre of our nose and our brow bones with our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush.
We finished off our look with our beautiful Fall inspired flower crown - you can find the tutorial here. What is your favourite thing about Fall?
