Coachella Metallic Glam Look

With Super trendy festival Coachella due to begin today, its safe to say that festival season is well and truly upon us! Eeeek! And, whether you're Coachella bound or not, there's no better time to crack out the metallics and let your free spirit fly!

In today's look we are going full on metallic glam and we can't wait to see your re-creations too - share them with us on Insta for a chance to be featured in our gallery!

Let's start by working on that glowing, flawless base!, First, we're priming with some Dr botanicals rose facial oil to ensure our makeup is sweat proof and party proof! We're then going in with a full coverage foundation. We've mixed some Estee Lauder Double wear with some Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow liquid highlight for a gorgeous, subtle glow, and we work it over the face and neck with our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki.

Then, we're taking some Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and we're using it to bring light to face and to disguise any problem areas. We blend this into our concealer using our Bella&Bear Ocelot Large concealer brush.

We want to keep that soft, dewy look on our skin for this look, but we do need to set our concealer to make sure it doesn't slide around, so we're going in with our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush and some of the ELF Studio HD loose powder to set it in place. Of course, if you prefer a matte finish then you can go ahead and dust the whole face!

Now, we're using some Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing spray to lock that base in place

Next, let's work on the eyes. First, we're applying a primer to even out the base and to give our shadows something to grip onto. We're using the Kryloan eyeshadow Primer and working it over the lid and up to the brow bone with our ring finger.

You can choose any colour palette you prefer for this look, but we are going for  bold blue and glittering gold! So, next we are taking some of the Maybelline 24 hr colour tattoo shadow in 'Turquoise Forever', and we are working it onto the inner and outer corners of the eye using our Bella&Bear Golden Cat brush. You can top this with a little blue powder shadow if you want a more intense finish.

Then, for a beautiful spotlight effect to the eye, we are using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush to work a golden metallic shadow onto the centre of the lid, building up the colour as desired. We used the BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil palette here.

To balance out the colour on the eye, lets also bring some of that blue shadow along the lower lash line using our Bella&Bear Fishing Cat brush, and we are topping it with the Collection glam crystals liner in 'Le Freak'.

We really want to make those peepers pop, so next, we are using our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush to work some Essence cushion liner along the top lash line - you can keep this wing as long or as short as you prefer!

Of course, we want some killer lashes to match this look so after curling our lashes with our famous Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty Lash curler and adding a coat of our fave mascara (Lash sensational by Maybelline), we are going in with some super fanned out falsies. We apply our falsies as close to the natural lash line as possible using our Bella&Bear Angled Tweezers for an undetectable finish.

As a final step for the eyes, we are framing them with some bold brows. After brushing through the brows using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush to tame the hairs, we are using the brush end to work some Makeup Revolution Brow pomade through, defining and shaping the brows to perfection.

Now, for some ultimate festival glam we are going to apply some sparkle. First we're placing a gold temporary tattoo onto the forehead (just between the brows), using our Bella&Bear angled tweezers.

Then we are using some of that same golden shadow to create a headdress style design. We used our Bella&Bear Caracal liner brush for ultimate precision, spritzing it with some setting spray before use, for a more intense colour payoff!

To add some healthy colour to the face we next went in with a matte bronzer, working it over the hollows of the cheeks, the temples, the hairline and the jawline using our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush. We love some classic Benefit Hoola Bronzer for this!

No festival look would be complete without some highlight too! So, taking our Bella&Bear Cheetah duo fiber brush and some Jouer highlight in Topaz, we are dusting it over the high points of the face; the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose, the brow bones, the inner corners of the eyes and the cupids bow.

Once again, we spritz with our setting spray to lock everything in place.

For our lips, we are going to keep them nude so that all of the focus is on those eyes! We are prepping the lips by lining them to keep our lip product from bleeding out or feathering. We are over lining the lips slightly for this look.

We then filled them in with some LimeCrime Velvetine lip in 'Buffy', using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat for an even and precise finish.

For our hair, we want to make it as extra as the makeup, so we are going to pop on our beautiful silver wig!

We prep our natural hair for a wig by brushing it through with our Bella&Bear The Bear paddle brush to make it smooth and sleek.

We then split the hair into two sections and tightly braid each section, pinning the braids flat to the back of the head.

After placing on our wig cap we then pull on our wig, securing in place with bobbypins if necessary!

We hope you enjoyed this look and that you have a safe, fun festival time this weekend! You can shop all of the Bella&Bear pieces used in today's look in our online store right now, as well as all of our other pieces! Happy Shopping!
