Hogwarts House Look; Slytherin

The Harry Potter popularity train just doesnt seem to be slowing down does it?! And with the Warner Bros. studio tour annoucning their Slytherin Season for 2020, we thought it was the perfect time to try out a look dedicated to the most cunning house of all.

We're going to start with the brows for this look. We're brushing them through using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush to shape and tame the hairs.

Now we are taking the brush end of the Iberian Lynx and some ABH Dipbrow pomade and we are working it through the brows to define the shape and fill in any sparser areas. You can go through again with the spoolie again if you prefer a softer finish to the brows.

We are now picking up our Bella&Bear Golden Cat concealer brush and a little of the Essence camouflage concealer and we are going to carve out the brows. Essentially, this means we are outlining the brows with the concealer to make them extra sharp. We pull the product outward to blend into our foundation later.

Lets work on the eyes now. We start with some Benefit stay dont stray primer and we work it all over the lids to give our shadows a strong base and make them extra vibrant.

We set the primer in place by applying a matte cream concealer over the top of it with our Bella&Bear sand cat brush.

Next, we are taking a matte grass green shadow and we are using our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush to work it right into the crease of the eye. We do this with a windscreen wiping motion to get an even distribution of colour. We are using the BH Cosmetics Take me to Brazil Palette for this look.

Lets pick up our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy brush now, with a matte light green shadow and we work that over the lid.

We are going to start lining the eye now. We use our Bella&Bear Fishing cat brush to apply a deep green shadow onto the outer corner of the eye in a wing shape, bringing it to about the centre of the lash line.

Now, we are taking our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and some Essence cushion liner and we are outlining the very edge of the wing for definition and we are also drawing a thin line directly onto the lash line right to the inner corner.

We wanted to add a little sparkle so we are using our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush and we are spritzing it with some Revolution Oil control setting spray. We are then using it to pick up some silver glitter and we press it onto the centre of the lid for a halo effect.

Lets work on the lashes now. We begin by curling them using our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curler for 20-30 seconds on each eye. We lock that curl in with a coat of the Better Than sex mascara.

Of course we wanna add some falsies to this look too! We use our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers to place a set of the GWA Unicorn falsies as close to the natural lashline as possible.

Lets work on the skin now. We begin by working some Bodyshop Instablur primer all over the face to make it poreless and flawless.

Next, we mix some Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation with a little of the Bodyshop Drops of Glow liquid and we blend it all over the face using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki for a streak free finish.

Then, we take a little more of the Essence Camouflage concealer and we use it along with our Bella&Bear Ocelot large concealer brush to disguise problem areas such as blemishes or dark circles.

We want a dewy skin for this look but it is still important to set the concealer to stop it sliding or creasing. To do this we use our Bella&Bear Tiger brush and some Laura Mercier translucent powder and we press it on top of the concealer.

We lock our base in place with a generous spritz of the Revolution Oil control fixing spray

Lets go back and finish the eyes now. Taking our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush again, and that lime green shadow, we dust it along the lower lash line.

We also use some of the same dark green shadow on the outer corner of the lower lash line to blend it in.

Next, we are using some Charlotte Tilbury Rock and Kohl in bedroom black and we are drawing it onto the lower water line.

We are picking up our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush now, along with some Hoola matte bronzer and we are dusting it into the hollows of the cheeks, along the hairline and onto the temples for a more chiseled face structure.

Lets think about the lips now. We are making them dark and intense with - black!! we start by lining the lips with some of that same CT Kohl pencil to accentuate the shape and to stop our products from bleeding out.

Now, using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip brush and some Lime Crime Velvetine in 'Black Velvet' we are going to paint the lips.

For a cool finishing touch we are taking a netted wig cap and we are placing it over the bottom lip. We are then using our Bella&Bear Margay Brush to press a metallic silver shadow onto the net to create a scale effect. we used this same technique on our Mermaid look, too!

Finally, we are going to add a little highlight. We are using a white highlight for the look. We dust some TooFaced Diamond highlight over the high points of the cheeks, down the centre of the nose, the inner corners of the eyes and the brow bones using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber powder brush.

As for our hair, we want it sleek and ashy to make our shadows pop! we start by brushing through our locks using our Bella&Bear Brush on you detangler to make it knot-free and smooth!

Then, we pull the hair into 2 tight braids and pin them to the back of the head as flat as possible.

Finally we pull on a wig cap and then our Beautiful silver wig - we also added a Slytherin House Tie!
