How to; Blend your own Face Masks

Following on from our Fall skincare post, we wanted to fill you in with all the best at home face mask recipes. You can blitz these up quickly with items you already have at home to get your skin fresh and glowing all Autumn long!

Oily skin can still be a problem in the brisker months so try whipping up one of these masks to help resolve it. Use your Bella&Bear ocelot brush to apply your mask smoothly and evenly.


This mask is full of energising breakfast ingredients which will fight oily skin and leave it bright and glowing!

1. Start by mixing 1 egg yolk, 1 tbsp organic honey, 1 tbsp Olive Oil and half a cup of oatmeal.

2. Use your Bella&Bear Ocelot brush to apply your mask to the skin.

3. Grab you fave magazine and chill for 15-20 minutes.

4. Rinse off your mask with warm water and a soft flannel

5. Finish by applying your go-to moisturiser.


This mask works to pull in those pores creating a flaless and smooth looking skin. Egg whites are ideal for tightening skin, while tumeric helps to brighten and even out skin tone!

1. Blend together 1 egg white, 1 tsp pure orange juice and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder.

2. Pop on an old t shirt or PJ's (turmeric can stain!) and apply your mask.

3. Relax for 15 minutes

4. Finish by washing off your mask with fresh, warm water and moisturising your skin.

For skin that is really feeling the effects of the colder weather, try a hydrating mask to inject some moisture back in and re-instate that radiance.


Avocado is known for its hydrating properties while natural cacao is a great antioxidant. The honey in this mask will also add a dose of antibacterial power!

1. Begin by mashing 1 quarter of an avocado until smooth, then add in 1 tbsp of cacao powder

2. Blend in 1 tbsp organic honey

3. apply to your face and neck with your Bella&Bear Ocelot brush and relax for 10 minutes

4. Rinse off your mask with warm water and a flannel and finish by moisturising.


If your skin is feeling raw from the cold air then this mask is perfect for you. You can also add 1-2 tsp of olive oil to custom blend it to your hydration need.

1. Mash 1/2 of a ripe avocado and stir in 1 tsp of organic yogurt.

2. Add in 1 tsp organic honey 

3. Apply to the face and sit back for 10 -15 minutes

4. Remove your mask with warm water and apply you fave moisturiser. 


The cold autumn air can make skin dry and dull, use one of these face masks to remove that dull dead skin and put a smooth glow back into it! 


This is a great mask for those who are suffering from dull fall skin; the strawberries are a great natural exfoliator and antioxidant, the lemon will brighten the skin and the Greek yogurt will help to dissolve and remove any dead skin cells! 

1. Start by mashing 3 strawberries and adding 1 tsp pure lemon juice.

2. Add in 2 tbsp of organic Greek yogurt and 1 tsp organic honey, mixing everything together.

3. Freeze for 20 minutes until cool but not solid.

4. Apply to your skin and leave for 10 minutes

5. Remove with warm water and a soft flannel and moisturise!


This miracle masque uses only 2 ingredients and will leave your face super dpft and radiant. 

1. Blend together 2 tbsp brown sugar and 2 tbsp coconut oil

2. Apply to the skin and gently buff in circular motions with your finger tips.

3. Leave on the skin to absorb for 5-10 minutes

4. Rinse off with warm water and generously apply your moisturiser. 

Use your mask of choice once a week (as well as your updated skin care routine) and you will soon notice a difference in your skin - it'll be soft, smooth and glowing, all fall long and into the depths of Winter!
