Soft Pink Valentines Look

It's almost Valentines day and we are so excited to get dressed up and celebrate with our loved ones! You might have seen our full-coverage valentines look on the blog last week, but this week we are back with a softer look for more casual dates!

We want this look to be dewy and fresh, so before we apply our base we are going to apply a good primer to the skin - this will form a barrier between your skin and your makeup to prevent it from sliding off of the face and wearing away. We love the SmashBox Photo Finish Primer - which you can gently apply to the skin with your finger tips.

As this is a softer look, we are going to use a tinted moisturiser for our base - this will give us light-medium coverage while still giving off that flawless finish! We are using our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki Brush to buff some Bodyshop Flawless BB Cream into the face and neck. You can use circular motions to blend the base over the skin seamlessly.

Even though we are going for a lighter look, we still want the skin to appear flawless so we are applying a small amount of concealer to problem areas - think dark circles, redness and blemishes - and we're blending it outward with our Bella&Bear Golden Cat Small Concealer Brush.

To set that concealer in place we are going to apply a light dusting of translucent powder - remember to only apply it to areas where you put the concealer, that way we wont take away from the dewy skin finish. We are loving the ELF Studio HD powder and we apply it with our Bella&Bear Leopard Powder Brush!

We are going to use some light pink shadows for the eyes, this will make you feel a little extra special, without feeling too 'cakey'. So, after applying a little of Benefit's Stay Don't Stray primer to the lids with our ring finger, we are going in with a matte dusty pink shadow (hint; we used the MakeUp Academy Elysium palette for this look). We applied this to the crease of the lid with our amazing Bella&Bear Pampas Cat Brush, using a windscreen wiper motion - but if you like a little more guidance then try pressing your Bella&Bear Eyelash Curler against the eye and apply your shadow just above it!

Let's add a little sparkle to the lids with a baby pink shimmer shadow. We pressed this onto the lid with our Bella&Bear Iromote brush, working it into the inner corner of the eye too.

To follow we curled our lashes with our very own Bella&Bear Eye&Mighty lash curler, this will give them some mighty lift and fan them out gorgeously!

We then generously applied coats of our fave mascara - TooFaced Better than sex mascara. This will further enhance the lashes and make the eyes pop! We think the eyes look great like this but we know some girls prefer some liner and lashes so we have also applied them to show you the two options.

We simply applied some gel liner in an extended but thin wing, with our Bella&Bear Caracal Liner Brush and then put on some natural look falsies, applying them as close to the lash line as possible with our Bella&Bear Angled Tweezers.

To finish and frame the eyes we are lightly grooming the brows. We started by filling them in with some Freedom Makeup Brow Pomade - using our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow Brush to create the desired shape, and we then used the spoolie end to brush out any excess product for a more natural finish.

Let's add a little blush to the cheeks for a darling glow. We took some Makeup Revolution The one Blush stick in 'pink' and our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Brush and we gently stippled the product onto the apple of the cheeks, building the colour until happy!

We also added a neutral colour to the lips to perfectly balance out the look and to make for a kissable pout! We used some Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in 'Chauffeur' and we applied it to the lips with our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush for a precise finish! Mwah!

Now, put on your valentines outfit and get ready for a fantastic date! We really hope you enjoyed this look and don't forget that you will find all of the Bella&Bear tools used in this tutorial in our online store right now - you can also shop our new pieces there!
