Sparkling Sunrise Festival Look
Festivals arent just about the glitter ya know .. they're also the perfect opportunity to bust out the colours! In todays look we're showing you how to create this awesome sunrise inspired look filled with bright colours ... and of course a little sparkle!
We're starting with the eyes for this look, so that any fallout from our shadows wont have a chance to ruin base work. So, firstly we are going in with our eyeshadow primer. We're using the Kryolan shadow primer, working it over the lid and right up to the brow bone to even out the skin tone and give our shadows something to really grip to!
Next, using our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush, we are working a matte bright pink shadow into the outer corner and along the crease with a windscreen wiper motion. We're using the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil palette for this look - it's bursting with bright shadows!
Then we're going to apply some concealer to the lid to really get that shadow poppin'. Taking our Bella&Bear Golden Cat concealer brush and some Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer we are creating a dome shape on the lid.
To top that concealer we are going in with a bright yellow shadow! Yes, yellow! We're using our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush to press some yellow shimmer shadow on top of that concealer and into the inner corner of the eye, building up the colour until you are happy.
We are then just going back in with that pink shadow and blending the colours together for a softer finish.
To give the look more depth we are next going to go in with a matte purple shadow. So, using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush, we are working that shadow just onto the outer corner of the eye, defining the shape a little.
Now, lets line the eyes for some serious definition. Taking our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush we are going to swipe some Essence cushion liner along the upper lash line and into a sharp wing.
To follow, we are going to curl the lashes for some lift using our famous Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty Lash curler - curling for 20 seconds on each eye.
We are also using our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers to place some Dani Beauty 'Smitten' falsies as close to the natural lash line as possible, allowing them time to dry.
To frame those eyes we are going to work on the brows. Taking the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush we are brushing through the hairs to shape and tame them as desired. We are then using the brush end to work some Revolution brow pomade through the brows, filling in and defining them! You can finish them up by brushing through again with the spoolie to disperse any excess product!
Thinking about the lower lash line now, we're using our Bella&Bear fishing Cat brush to work some of that same pink shadow along the lash line, keeping it soft and smokey rather than harsh.
Let's work on that flawless skin now. First of all we're gonna prime to smooth out the canvas. We're using the Benefit Porefessional Pearl Primer, working it over the face and neck with our Bella&Bear Lynx kabuki brush.
Next, we're going to use a full coverage foundation to get that glowing skin. We're mixing some Estee Lauder DoubleWear with a few drops of the Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow liquid highlight and then buffing it onto the face and neck using our famous Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki, working in outward and circle motions for a streak free finish.
To bring a little extra light to the face - and of course to disguise any problem areas - we are next going in with our concealer. Using our Bella&Bear Ocelot large conealer brush we are blending some of that same Urban Decay concealer into the hollows of the cheeks, the chin, down the centre of the nose, under the eyes and onto the forehead.
We now want to set that concealer to stop it sliding or creasing, so, taking our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush we are pressing some Essence All About Matte translucent powder over the top of that concealer.
And, of course, we are going to spritz the face with some setting spray to lock everything in place. We're using the Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing spray here.
Let's add a little colour to the face with some matte bronzer! We're taking our Bella&Bear Bobcat blush brush to dust some NYX Matte Body Bronzer over the cheekbones, the temples, the jawline and the hairline. We also used our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush to work some bronzer down the sides of the nose.
Of course, we want to have some glow too! No festival look would be complete without it! We're using our Bella&Bear Jungle Cat brush to generously dust some NYX Love you so Mochi highlight over the high points of the face; the cheekbones, the brow bones, down the centre of the nose and on the cupids bow.
For our lips, we want them to be as hot as the eyes, so we're prepping them by lining them with some liner. Then, we're using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat brush to paint some Limecrime Velvetine in 'Faded' over them - our brush gives an even and precise application every time.
Once that has set, we are taking some Limecrime Lipstick in 'Prairie' and working it just onto the centre of the lips for that statement ombre finish!
Now it's time for that sparkle. After applying a little lash glue to the area just below the eyes (you could do whichever design you feel like), we are using our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers to place a sheet of gold leaf onto the skin.
We're then using our Bella&Bear Tiger brush to gently dust over that sheet allowing it to crack and break apart naturally for a mosaic style finish. Gold leaf is very thin and delicate so just work gently and a slowly until you get an effect you are pleased with!
You can then once again spritz the face with your setting spray to keep everything in place, and we also used a few puffs of the WinkyLux Glitter Puff over the neck, decolletage and shoulders.
As for our hair, we want that fun festival vibe, so we opted for space buns! We started by brushing through our locks with our Bella&Bear The bear paddle brush to remove any tangles and for a sleek finish.
We then separated the hair into two sections using our Bella&Bear Brush on You Comb and popped each one up in a high ponytail.
Then, working on one side at a time, we twist the hair around itself and create that fun space bun shape, pinning the hair in place. Repeat on the other section.
We finished our hair with a generous spray of hairspray and added some more of that glitter puff!
You're ready! Super cute, super colourful and super fun!
