Valentines; Sultry datelook

Rich toned shadows and deep, dark lips - this isn't the classic Valentines look, but it's sure to stop your date in their tracks when you arrive! Follow our post today to get this gorgeous and unique Valentines look!

Lets start with the eyes for this look. We're applying some Benefit stay Don't stray primer all over the lid and up to the brow bone.

Next, lets use or Bella&Bear Sand cat brush to work a matte ivory shadow onto the lid and again up to the brow bone. This will even out the base colour for our shadows.

Next, using our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy brush we take a matte aubergine shadow and we work it onto the lid, blending gently up to the crease. You could choose to wing this out if you want it a little more dramatic but we are keeping it just to the lid and softly blending out. We're using the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil palette here.

To follow, we pick up our Bella&Bear Bornean bay cat brush and a matte taupe shadow and we work it directly into the crease of the eye, using a windscreen wiper motion for an even shadow application. This will be our transition shade to stop any lines being too harsh from the darker shadow.

Lets use our Bella&Bear Golden cat brush now. We first spritz it with some Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and then we use it to press some 'Cosmic' shadow from the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic palette right into the centre of the lid.

Lets line those eyes next for some definition. Taking our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner and some Essence cushion liner we are drawing a wing along the upper lash line.

Now lets add lashings of lashes for the wow factor! We begin by curling the lashes for some lift using our Bella&Bear eye and mighty curlers and we lock that curl in with a coat of the Benefit bad gal mascara.

Next, we add on some falsies. We use our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers to place some Tatti lashes #TL7 as close to the upper lash line as possible for an undetectable finish.

Now that we've got our eyes ready, lets frame them with some gorgeous brows. To begin we brush the hairs through with the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush to make them neat and tidy.

Next, we use the brush end to work some ABH Dipbrow pomade through the hairs, filling in sparser areas and defining the shape.

It's time to work on that flawless skin now. Of course we;re going to need to start with a primer so we are using the BodyShop Instablur  and we are working it over the face using our fingertips.

Once that has settled its time to go in with our base. We're using our Bella&Bear jaguar angled kabuki to work some BodyShop Nude Fresh BB Cream (mixed in with a little Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination) over the face and slightly down the neck. We use outward and downward motions for a streak free and smooth finish.

Lets conceal now to disguise those problem areas. We use the Essence camouflage concealer on our dark circles and blemishes and we blend it in with our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush.

Now that's done, we need to set our work. Taking some Laura Mercier translucent powder and our Bella&Bear Leopard powder brush we set our concealer to prevent creasing and sliding. If you prefer a matte finish to the skin then go ahead and dust your whole face with your powder.

To lock that in place with spritz the face with some Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray in an X shape and then down the centre of the face.

Now, we want to add a little colour to the face. Taking our Bella&Bear Bobcat angled brush we use it to dust the hollows of the cheeks, the temples and the hairline with some Hoola by Benefit. We also work some down the sides of the nose using our Bella&Bear Margay cat brush.

We also want to finish our eyes off now, so using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush we work some more of that aubergine shadow along the lower lash line.

We finish the eyes by highlighting the inner corners with some more of that  'Cosmic' shadow and our Bella&Bear Caracal brush.

Lets work on that pout now. First we smooth the lips over with some LUSH Bubblegum lip scrub.

Next, we line the lips using some Essence Lip Liner in 'Satin Mauve', we over line them slightly for this look.

Now, using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush, we paint the lips with some Jeffree star 'androgyny' lip velour.

And finally, we want a gorgeous glow so its time to highlight! We use our Bella&Bear Leopard duo fiber powder brush to work some Revolution Blushing hearts in Iced Heart over the high points of the cheeks, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow.

As for our hair we want it soft and sweet. So, we start by brushing it through with our Bella&Bear Brush on your detanger to make it knot free and silky. We then straighten it and pin back a small section at the front on each side behind our ears.

***Tip*** spritz your hairbrush with your fave perfume to give your locks a subtle fragrance. You could try a combination of lip colours for this look, as some people prefer a nude to a bold lip! See our photo for a comparison!
