Summer Wedding Guest Makeup

Its Summer time! Wedding season is fully upon us. We love getting dressed up, enjoying some bubbles and celebrating in the sunshine, so today were going to show you how to get this elegant wedding guest look! The colours are neutral yet striking, so you can pair it with any outfit and know that you will feel amazing!

We're going to start by applying a primer to give our makeup a smooth base and to keep it in place through all the celebrating! We're using the NYX Hydratouch primer and were applying it all over the face with our fingertips.

Now, we're creating some strong brows. Using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian lynx brow brush, we're brushing the hairs into the shape we'd like to make them neat and to give us a guide of where we need to fill in.

Then, using the brush end, we're working some ABH Dipbriw pomade through the brows to define their shape and fill in any sparser areas. Finally, we brush through the hairs again using the spoolie to disperse any excess product and for a softer finish.

Let's carve those brows out now to really define them. Taking our Bella&Bear Golden cat small concealer brush, we are outlining the brows with some Urban Decay Naked concealer, giving them a really strong shape and blending the product outward on the skin.

Now, lets start working on our eyes! We're going to keep them neutral but with a hit of shimmer. So lets begin by priming to make those colours solid and budge-proof! We're using the Kryolan eyeshadow primer and working it over the lid and up to the brow bone with our finger.

Now, we're taking a matte ivory shadow (we're using 'Foxy' from the Urban decay Naked 2 palette) and we're using our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush to work it over the lid and, again, up to the brow bone. This will give an even coloured base for our shadows.

Next, using our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush, we are working a matte brown shadow along the crease of the eye, using a windscreen wiper motion for an even application. We love the NYX ultimate warm neutrals palette for this look.

Let's take that Golden cat concealer brush again. This time we're using it to work some concealer onto the lid, stopping at the crease where we just applied that shadow.

Once the concealer is applied, were going back in with that same brown shadow, on our Bella&Bear Bornean bay cat brush and were working it onto the outer third of the eye and along the crease again, blending it all outward for a softer finish.

Now, lets take use a glitter shadow! We're applying some Collection Glam Crystals Liquid eyeshadow in Aura to the inner two thirds of the eye.

To really define the eyes we are going to line them now. Using our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush we are creating a long wing with some Essence cushion liner.

Let's curl the lashes now for some serious lift, of course using none other than our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty curlers. We curl for 20 seconds on each eye to fan out the lashes and give them that dreamy curl. We set the curl in place with a coat of our fave waterproof mascara - Benefit BadGal Bang.

For a special event we like to add some falsies. So now, we're taking our Bella&Bear angled tweezers and we're using them to place some falsies as close to the natural lash line as possible. The lashes we've used here are the GWA Wonder Fantasy lashes.

Now that our eyes are ready, lets work on our base. We're using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki to work a full coverage foundation over the face and slightly down the neck. We've used the Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation here and we've mixed it with a little Jelly PongPong All Over Glow illumizer for a subtle glow to the skin.

Next, we want to disguise any problem areas, so were going to conceal. Using our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush we are working some more Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer onto the area below the eyes, down the centre of the nose and on the forehead - and of course over any pimples or red marks.

Let's set that base so it doesn't oxidise or flake. Using our Bella&Bear Cheetah powder brush we are dusting the face with some ELF Studio HD translucent powder.

Finally, We're spritzing the face with some Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to lock that base in place.

Let's define the face with some light contouring. First, we're using our Bella&Bear Bobcat brush to work some Hoola by Benefit onto the hollows of the cheeks. We're starting at the ears, creating a line down to the bottom of the cheek and then blending it outward to soften it. Then, we're using the same brush to work the contour powder onto the sides of the head and around the jawline.

Now, we are using our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush to work some of that same powder down the sides of the nose to define it.

For a subtle flush of colour we are going to apply a dusty pink matte blush to the apples of the cheeks. We're working some Revolution Hot spice Ultra blush onto the cheeks with our Bella&Bear Tiger brush.

Let's finish off those eyes now with a little more sparkle. Taking our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush, we are applying a bronze shimmer shadow along the lower lash line, we love the same NYX Warm Neutrals palette for this.

Now, we're going to apply some highlight. So, using our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Powder brush we are dusting it over the cheekbones, the brow bones, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow. We are also using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush to apply some to the inner corners of the eyes. We're using the IHeartRevolution Girls Best Friend Highlight here.

Let's wrap it up with the lips. To keep with that neutral theme, we're opting for a blush pink shade. First we need to line the lips to define their shape. We're using the Essence lip liner in Satin Mauve.

Then, using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat lip brush we are painting the lips with the Revolution Makeup Renaissance Lipstick in 'Blended'.

Lets, once again, spritz the face with our setting spray to lock the look in place.

As for our hair, we want to keep it simple and elegant. We're first brushing it through with our Bella&Bear Brush on you detangler to rid it of knots and make it look shiny and healthy.

Then, we straightened our hair, allowing it 5 minutes to cool down after. We pulled a small section at the front of the head behind our ear on each side and kept it in place with a bobby pin, allowing the rest of the hair to flow over it. We finish with a spritz of hair spray and glossing spray!
