Americana 4th July Look!

One of the biggest days of the year is about to hit in a couple of weeks and we couldn't be more excited! BBQs with loved ones, fireworks and all round celebration! We're going all patriotic with today's look and taking inspo from Old Glory itself! Happy 4th!

First, we're gonna prime the skin for an even, smooth base - we love the Benefit Porefessional primer for this.

Then lets work on some serious brows. Brushing through the hairs with the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow Brush we're taming and shaping them.
We're then going in with the brush end and working some ABH Dipbrow pomade through the brows to fill in and define them. You can brush through them again with the spoolie if you'd like to remove excess product and for a softer finish.

Now, we're going to carve out the brows for an ultra-defined shape. Taking some Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and our Bella&Bear Golden Cat Concealer Brush we are outlining the brows and blending the product outward.

Next, let's start work on the skin. Were using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki to work some full coverage foundation over the face - we love Estee Lauder Double Wear best. We mixed our foundation with a pump of the L'Oreal lumizer shot and applied the product onto the skin in outward and downward motions for a streak free finish - and we work slightly down the neck to avoid those tide lines!

Its time to conceal. We're disguising problem areas and bringing light to the skin by using some more of that Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer over them, and blending it in using our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush.

Now, lets set that concealer to stop it from sliding and creasing. We're pressing some Essence All About Matt translucent powder on top of the concealer using our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush. If you prefer a matte finish to the skin try dusting some powder over the entire face using our Bella&Bear Tiger brush.

You can then spritz the skin with a setting spray to lock all that work in place. Spritz in an 'X' shape over the face and then across the forehead and down the nose to make sure you've gotten every inch! We used the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray here

Thinking about the eyes now, we're going to again go in with a primer first. Were applying some TooFaced shadow insurance over the lids and up to the brow bone using our ring finger. This will make our shadow colours super vibrant and will keep all that work in place.

Now, we're going to go right in with those colours. Taking a matte red shadow (we're using the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil palette for this look) on our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush, we're working it over the lid, up to the crease and smoking it out on the outer corner of the eye.

For the bottom of the eye were getting our blue on. Using our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a blue shadow from that same palette were working it along the lower lash line and meeting it up with our red shadow on the outer corner.

Now, lets add some liner! Using our Bella&Bear Serval Angled liner brush, we're sweeping some Collection glam crystals liner in Rock chick along the upper lash line into a dramatic wing. This will give some subtle sparkle, too!

For our lashes, we're going to start by curling them with our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curler for some lift! We're curling for 20 seconds on each eye. Pssstt .. did you see our Lash hack guide post?!

Then, we're locking that curl in with a coat of our fave mascara, They're Real by Benefit. You can do as many coats as you prefer.

As this is a special occasion look, we're going apply some falsies too! Using our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers we're placing some Eylure texture #117 lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible, allowing time to dry.

Lets think about the skin again now. We've got that flawless base, now lets add some colour. We're going to use our Bella&Bear bobcat brush to generously dust the hollows of the cheeks, the jawline and the temples with a matte bronzer - our fave is that cult classic, Hoola by Benefit.

We also want to add some serious glow. So, using our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush we are working some IHeartRevolution Iced Hearts highlight over the cheekbones, the cupids bow, the browbones and down the centre of the nose.

To lock that all in place we spritzed the face with some more setting spray!

No patriotic look would be complete without some sparkly stars! So, using our Bella&Bear pointed tweezers we are gently pressing some skin-safe star confetti onto the blue eyeshadow for a poppin' contrast. We used lash glue to adhere the confetti but you could also use glitter fix.

We then brushed our hair through with our trusty Bella&Bear The Bear Paddle Brush and popped on our fave silver wig for serious vibes!

Gorgeous! However you're celebrating Independence day this year,we wish you a happy and safe time! Don't forget you can shop all of the Bella&Bear pieces used here in our online store right now, join our club for an exclusive discount!
