Dazzling St Patricks Day Makeup
Its time to celebrate and have fun! St Patrick's day is here and what better way to get into the spirit than to dress up for the occasion?! In today's post we are showing you how to get this dazzling look just perfect for your St paddy's day celebrations!
Once we've applied our primer (Benefits Porefessional) we're going to start by sculpting the face for a structured look! Taking our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush and our City Colours Cream Contour palette we are working the contour shade into the hollows of the cheeks, around the hair line, down the sides of the nose and around the jawline.
We are the using our Bella&Bear Ocelot Concealer brush to work the highlight contour shade onto the chin, the area below the eyes, down the centre of the nose and on the forehead.
We then take our Bella&Bear Lynx Kabuki brush and blend it all together for a smooth, defined finish!
Next, we're going in with a medium coverage foundation for a smooth and flawless skin! We're using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki to blend some L'Oreal True Match foundation over the face and slightly down the neck to avoid those dreaded tide lines!
Let's add some concealer now to disguise any problem areas and to add some light to the face! We're blending some Essence Camouflage concealer onto those areas with our Bella&Bear Golden Cat concealer brush, for a seamless look.
We want to have a matte skin for this look to keep it all about the eyes so we are now going in with our Bella&Bear Tiger Powder Brush and some ELF Studio HD powder and we are gently dusting it all over the face. If you prefer a dewy look then simply just press your powder onto the areas you applied concealer to only!
We are also going to spritz the face with some Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray to lock all that work in place and keep our makeup from sliding.
Let's start work on those peepers! We are of course going to start with a primer to smooth out the area and to give our shadows a good base to grip to! we're using the Benefit Stay dont Stray Primer today.
No St Patricks Day look would be complete without a pop of green so lets go in with a matte forest green shadow. Working it over the lid with our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush and making sure to blend and smoke it out on the outer corner for a softer finish! We're using the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil Palette here.
We want to add a little sparkle, so to follow we are spritzing our Bella&Bear Iromote brush with some Urban decay All Nighter setting spray and we are then using it to press some metallic green shadow over the top of that matte shadow. We love the Makeup Revolution Mermaids Vs Unicorns Palette for this.
We also want to incorporate some poppin' orange into this look so, taking our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush we are working some orange shadow from the same BH Cosmetics Palette along the lower lash line. We then topped it with some of the beautiful Collection Glam Crystals liner in 'Funk'
Lets define the eyes with some liner. Using our Bella&Bear Serval Angled Liner brush we are sweeping some Stilla Smudge Pot Gel Liner along the upper lash line and into a thick wing.
To follow, we are going to curl the lashes for some lift using our very own Bella&Bear Eye&Mighty Lash curlers, for 20 seconds on each eye. We are then going in with a coat of the Benefit They're real mascara to lock that curl in place.
To make the look a little 'extra', we are also going to apply some falsies! Using our Bella&Bear Angled Tweezers we are applying some Red Cherry #523 Lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible for an undetectable finish!
Now, we are going to work on the brows to frame those eyes. Taking the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush we are working through the brow hairs, brushing them into the desired shape.
We are then using the brush end to apply some ABH Dipbrow pomade through the brows to enhance the shape and define them.
You can then go through with the spoolie end again just to work out any excess product for a softer and more natural looking finish.
Okay, so we contoured the face, but how about adding a little colour? Taking our Bella&Bear Bobcat angled brush, we are working some matte bronzer over the hollows of the cheeks, the temples, the hairline and over the nose. We love the ELF Bronze quad for this.
Now, lets work on that glow! We spritzing our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Powder brush with a little Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray and we're then picking up a generous amount of the TooFaced Peach Frost highlight; working it over the cheekbones, the brow bones, the inner corners of the eyes, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow! Gorgeous!
For our lips, we've decided to go orange too. After lining the lips, we're using the Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip brush to paint the lips with the LimeCrime Pumpkin Velvetine liquid lip.
As a final step we spritzed the face with some Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray to lock our work into place and to give it a gorgeous glow!
We also wanted to add our auburn wig to this look to really compliment the colours on the eyes, so after brushing the hair through with our Bella&Bear the Bear Paddle Brush to make it smooth and tangle free we are pulling it into a braid on each side of the head, being sure to braid tightly and get all the hairs tucked in.
We then pinned those braids to the back of the head, keeping them as flat to the scalp as possible to stop lumps and bumps showing through the wig!
Then, we slipped on our wig cap, and finally our wig, styling it as preferred!
That's it! You look gorgeous and good to go!
