Vintage Inspired Easter Lunch Look

Easter is fast approaching and it is the perfect time to get your family around for lunch and spend time together. As well as setting up the table for that delicious Sunday roast it is also nice to get dressed up a little, it is a special occasion after all! So, in today's post, we are showing you how to get this vintage inspired Easter lunch look, complete with cute hair ribbon!

It starts with our base. After applying our primer for a smooth canvas we are going in with our foundation. We're using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki to apply a full coverage foundation to the face and lightly down the neck. We love the Essence Fit and Fresh foundation for this. We also mixed some of the L'Oreal infalliable primer shot in 'luminizer' in with our foundation for a subtle, dewy glow.

Next, to disguise any problem areas; think dark circles, blemishes and redness, we are going in with our concealer. We're using the Urban Decay Naked concealer here and blending it into our foundation with our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush for a seamless finish.

We want a dewy finish for this look, but it is still important to set our concealer to stop it from creasing or sliding, so we are pressing some Makeup Revolution Bake&Finish Powder over our concealer using our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush. If you have an oily skin, though, you may prefer to set the whole face with a powder.

To lock that base in place we are going to spritz the face with a setting mist. We love the Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray.

Now, lets add some healthy colour to the face. Taking our Bella&Bear Bobcat angled brush we are working a matte bronzer over the hollows of the cheeks and the temples - you can also use your Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush to work some of your bronzer down the sides of the nose for light contouring if you wish. We love Benefits Cult Hoola bronzer best!

To get that fresh spring glow, we are going in with a dusty rose blush; this could be matte or shimmer, whichever you like best. We like one with golden shimmer flecks, like the Bourjois little pot of blush in 'Rose Coupe De Foudre'. We work our blush onto the apples of our cheeks and over our nose with our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber powder brush.

We are then going to add some cute freckles. Using our Bella&Bear Brush on You detangling brush and some Makeup Revolution brow pomade we are creating natural looking freckles across the cheeks and over the bridge of the nose - see the whole how-to in our post here.

For the eyes, we are going for a subtle vintage look, so after applying our Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer over the lids we are going in with a matte ivory shadow - we're using the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette for this look.
We apply the ivory shadow over the lid and right up to the brow bone using our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush for an even and smooth base.

Next, we are taking our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a matte light brown shadow and we are working it right into the crease of the eye using a windscreen wiper motion for an even application!

To add some intensity and depth to the eyes we are then taking our Bella&Bear Leopard Cat pencil brush and a shimmer chocolate brown shadow and we are applying it right onto the outer corner, blending into that light brown shadow for a soft finish

Let's define the eyes with a sharp cat eye. We're picking up our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and we're using it to create a thick wing along the upper lash line. You can do this a little at a time until you get the thickness you prefer!

For a springtime pop we then took our Bella&Bear Caracal liner brush and some of the Maybelline 24hr color tattoo shadow in 'Eternal Pink', and we worked it along the lower lash line, having the upper lash line and this line meet up together at the wing!

Now, we want to curl those lashes for some lift! Using our famous Bella&Bear Eye&Mighty lash curler we are curling the lashes for 20 seconds on each eye; this will fan out the lashes and really open up the eyes!

After applying a coat of our mascara to the upper and lower lashes - Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - we are going in with some wispy lashes. We apply them as close to the natural lash line as possible using our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers for an undetectable finish. We love the Red Cherry #WSP lashes for this look but if you don't have any wispy lashes to hand then follow the steps in our false lash hack to make your own at home in minutes!

Now, we want to frame those gorgeous eyes by working on the brows. We start by brushing through the hairs with the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow Brush.

Then, we use the brush end to work some Makeup Revolution brow pomade through the hairs to create a more defined shape.

Time to fill in those lips for a killer pout! We started by lining the lips with some Essence lip pencil in 'Satin Mauve' , this will keep our lip product in place and stop it from bleeding out onto the skin.

Then, we used our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush to fill in the lips with some LimeCrime Velvetine in 'Buffy'. This is a great choice as the product dries matte and wont budge while you're eating your Easter lunch and sipping bubbles!

For a soft glow we then went in with some SoSusan Statement Skin Highlight, working it over the cheekbones, the brow bones, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow with our fingertips.

Finally, we are once again spritzing the face with our setting spray to lock everything firmly in place!

Thinking about our hair now, we are again going to go vintage inspired with some soft curls. We curl the hair using our hair straighteners (use our heat-free strategy if you prefer!), and once the curls have cooled we gently brush through them using our Bella&Bear brush on you comb to loosen them up and give more of a relaxed finish - it will also help your curl to hold longer!

We then spritzed our with a glossing spray for healthy shine and added a cute pink ribbon, simply tying it at the back of the head under the hair and allowing the hair to fall naturally over our shoulders! Et, voila!

We hope you have a fabulous Easter Kittens - there's still time to order your Bella&Bear pieces from our store for gifting, and be sure to check out our blogger of the month post for an exclusive 15% off discount code! You can also share your Bella&Bear Selfies with us for a chance to be featured!
