Soft Galentines Day Look

If you're a long time reader of the Bella&Bear blog, you'll know that to us Valentines day is not just for couples - it's for you and your girls too. That's why every year, we like to plan for Galentines day!

It's the perfect excuse to get you're girls together and celebrate each other; go for food, have a pamper night or have a shopping day, whatever you do we think its important to show your friends how much you love them too! So today, we are back with this Galentines day inspired look, filled with poppin' pinks and subtle sparkle, just perfect for your celebrations and a fun alternative to those sultry red-lip looks we see around at this time of year.

For this look we are going to start by working on the eyes. We'll be using a glitter shadow so any fallout can simply be wiped away rather than settling into foundation. We start by priming the lids with some Benefit Stay Dont Stray Primer blending it right up to the brow bone with our finger to create a smooth, even base for our shadows to grip on to.

Then, we use our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush to work a matte ivory shadow all over the lid, again right up to the brow bone

Now, taking our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a matte aubergine shadow (we used the BH Cosmetics Take Me Back To Brazil palette), we are going to work this into the outer corner of the eye, bringing it along the crease back to the centre of the lid.

Next, were going to use our Bella&Bear Golden Cat Small Concealer brush to apply some concealer over the lid. This will create a good base for our glitter and will really make it pop. We're using the Essence camouflage concealer here.

We're then taking our Bella&Bear Sand cat brush again, and a matte blush pink shadow (we're using the MUA Elysium palette for this) and we're working this over the lid, up to the crease. We are also using this same brush to blend that aubergine shadow back to the centre of the lid and to smoke out that crease line a little.

Now lets go in with some glitter! We're spritzing our Bella&Bear Iromote brush with a little MAC glitter fix (you could apply a thin layer of the Barry M Glitter Fix Gel alternatively) and were pressing some baby pink glitter onto the lid firmly, using our Bella&Bear Tiger brush to dust off any fallout.

To balance that eye look out we are going to go in with our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush and that same aubergine shadow and we are going to work it along the lower lash line, blending it out for a softer finish

After allowing that time to settle we are going too use our Bella&Bear Serval liner brush to create a wing along the top lash line, you can do this as thick as you prefer. We are using some Bobbi Brown Gel Liner here.

And to finish the eye work, we first going to curl those lashes for some lift using our signature Bella&Bear Eye&Mighty Lash Curler, followed by a generous coat of your fave mascara - we love Maybelline's Lash sensational. If you are going somewhere special, or want to add something more to the look, then simply add some falsies. We are using our Bella&Bear Angled Tweezers to place a set of Ardell 113 lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible.

Lets move on to our base and face work. Starting off we are going to apply some NYX Pore Filler primer all over the face with our hands to make our skin smooth, cover those pores, and help our foundation last as long as possible.

Then we are going to mix some W7 Beam Me Up luminous drops in 'Dynamite' in with our Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and we are applying it all over the face with our Bella&Bear Lynx kabuki brush, blending slightly round the neck to avoid tide lines on the jaw area. Mixing the two products will give your skin a gorgeous soft glow!

To disguise any problem areas, we are going in with a concealer. We're using our Bella&Bear ocelot conealer brush to work some Essence Camouflage concealer over dark areas and blemishes.

We want the skin to be fresh and dewy for this look so we are going to press a translucent setting powder simply over only the areas we applied concealer, if you prefer a matte finish though, or have oily skin, you could go ahead and set the whole face. Were using our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush to apply some Kat von D Lock-It setting powder.

Lets add a little colour to the face by going in with some matte bronzer. We love the Hoola bronzer by Benefit, and we are dusting the hollows of the cheeks, the temples and our hair line with it using our new Bella&Bear Bobcat brush.

For that lovely rosy glow we are going in with a super pale pink blush and applying it directly to the apples of the cheeks with our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber powder brush. We love the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush palette in 'Sugar and Spice' for this as there are a good selection of shades.

Lets finish with a little dusting of highlight for a soft focus glow. Using our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush, we are going to apply a champagne highlight to the cheekbones, the brow bones, the tip of the nose and the cupids bow. We love the Jouer 'Topaz' highlight for this!

Now, lets work on those lips. To prep the lips we are first going to go in with some LUSH Bubblegum lip scrub, working it over the lips with our finger to remove dead skin cells and leave lips smooth and even.

Then, we are going to use a liner, this will help us to shape our lips and will stop our lip products from bleeding out onto the skin. We are using the Essence liner in 'Soft Berry' here.

Finally, we are going to fill in the lips with some Makeup Revolution Rose Gold Lipstick in Chauffeur- using a shade like this will compliment the eyes. We apply our lipstick using our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted cat lip brush for an even, precise application!

We also popped on our auburn wig for a fun twist on our look and to really make that purple shadow pop!
