Glowy Valentines Look

Pucker up, 'cause Valentines is almost here, and whether you're celebrating with a special dinner, a movie, or even just a night in with the girls, isn't it nice to get dolled up and rock a classic red lip?! Today's look is equal parts dewy skin, twinkly eyes, fluttery lashes and glam glow. It's a recipe for success and we know you're gonna love it!

As mentioned, we want a flawless skin for this look, so first we need to prep! After allowing our fave moisturiser to skin in to the skin we are going to go in with our primer. We love the new L'Oreal lumising primer shot and we are working this over the face with our fingers. Using a primer can help to mask pores for a smooth and even finish to your makeup, achieving that flawless look.

Let's apply a full coverage foundation with a touch of glow. We are mixing together some Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation and Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlight in Champagne and applying it to the face and neck with our famous Bella&Bear Jaugar angled kabuki brush. We make sure to work the product slightly down the neck too, to avoid tide lines around the jaw. Mixing the 2 products will give a gorgeous and subtle glow to the skin making it look radiant and healthy.

To add extra light to the face and mask any problem areas we are now going in with our concealer - we love the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. We're applying this to the area under the eyes in an upside down triangle shape, the forehead in a fan shape, down the centre of the nose and on the chin. You can also pop some over any blemishes you may have. We blend this into the skin with our Bella&Bear Ocelot Large concealer brush for a seamless finish.

We then set that concealer with a light dusting of the ELF HD setting powder using our Bella&Bear Leopard Face brush.

Let's work on adding some healthy colour back into the face. Taking a matte bronzer - we love Hoola by Benefit - and our new Bella&Bear Bobcat brush we are generously dusting the hollows of the cheeks, the temples, the hairline and the jawline. We also use our Bella&Bear Margay Cat brush to apply a little bronzer to the sides of the nose to give it a more defined shape.

Now, lets get to work on those eyes. Rather than going all out with smokey colours, we want the eyes to glitter and glimmer so we are going to go in with some sparkle shadow. To start though, we need to prime. Taking some Benefit Stay Dont Stray eyeshadow primer we are working over the lid and right up to the brow bone with our ring finger.

Next, we using our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush to work a matte ivory shadow onto the lid - again up to the brow bone. This will just even out the colour on the lids and will make our other shadows pop! We are using shade 'First Love' from the Zoeva Naturally Yours Palette here

Using our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay cat brush, we are then working a matte chocolate brown shadow into the outer corner of the eye and along the crease of the eye. This should be soft and blended out, rather than a harsh cut-crease style line. Again, we are using the Zoeva Naturally Yours palette, this time picking up shade 'Soft&Sexy'

Now, for that sparkle, we are choosing a sparkly golden eyeshadow - we love the MAC Rose Gold Pigment. We are going to wet our Bella&Bear Iromote brush with some Makeup Revolution Oil Control fixing spray and then dip it into the pigment, pressing it over the lid and into the inner corner of the eye.

Let's line the eyes now for some killer definition! Using our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush we are creating a wing along the top lash line. We love using the Stila Smudge Pot Gel liner for this and we are also lining the lower waterline with some TooFaced Perfect Eyes kohl pencil.

Now its lashes time! We're starting by curling the lashes with our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty curlers, holding for 20 seconds on each eye before applying a generous coat of our fave mascara - Maybelline Lash Sensational .

Before we apply our lashes, lets just go in with a little shadow along that lower lash line for depth and dimension to the eyes. We are working the same chocolate brown shadow onto the outer third of the lower lash line using our Bella&Bear Marbled Cat brush, again making sure to keep it soft and smokey!

For some extra focus on the eyes were also going in with some wispie falsies. Using our Bella&Bear Angled Tweezers we are placing some Eylure #27 natural lashes lashes as close to the natural lash line as possible.

Now that we've done all that work on the eyes, we want to frame them with some killer brows. Using our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Brow brush we are filling in the brows with some ABH Dipbrow pomade and then gently working the spoolie end of the brush through for a softer, more natural finish.

For that classic pout, we're going in with a hot red. But, first we are going to prep the lips by removing dead skin cells with a scrub - this will make the lips soft, smooth and will stop dry patches showing through your product! We're using the LUSH Chocolate lip scrub and working it over the lips with our finger.

Next, we need to line the lips for definition and to keep our product from bleeding out and smudging. We're lining our lips with some Rimmel 1000 Kisses lip liner in Red Dynamite.

And, finally, we're filling in our lips with a matte lip product - we want all that glow to come from the skin and the eyes so we're applying some Limecrime Velvetine in 'Red Velvet' over the lips with our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip brush.

And, for that final bit of glow we are working some Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss Highligher in 'Champagne Kiss' over the cheekbones, the tip of the nose, the brow bones and the cupids bow with our Bella&Bear Cheetah Duo Fiber Powder brush

We then pulled on a cute red knit and added our silver wig to finish the look off, but this look will look stunning with any hair colour! You are a glowing goddess and good to go!

We hope you enjoyed this look and that you have a very happy Valentines day with your loved ones! Don't forget that you can shop all of the Bella&Bear pieces used today in our online store - and you can find an exclusive 15% off code in our February blogger of the month interview here!
