Hogwarts House Look; Gryffindor

Said to be the house of courage, bravery and Chivalry and, of course, the House of Harry himself, Gryffindor is probably the best loved Hogwarts house of all. You may have seen our Slytherin and Ravenclaw looks - well today we are taking on Gryffindor in the hopes of a full transfiguration.

We're going to start with the eyes for this look, and we are going to take on the house colours; daring scarlet and chic gold. We're starting by priming the lids to hold our colours in place and make them ultra vibrant. The primer of choice here is Benefit Stay Dont stray and we work this over the lid and up to the brow bone using our ring finger.

Next, we pick up our Bella&Bear Sand Cat brush and a matte ivory shadow and we work that over the lid and, again, up to the brow bone to even out the skin tone.

Now, we are going to grab our Bella&Bear Bornean Bay Cat brush and a matte deep red shadow - we love BH Cosmetics Take me To Brazil palette for this - and we are sweeping into the crease of the eye with a windscreen wiping motion for an even distribution,

We are picking up our Bella&Bear Golden Cat concealer brush and some Essence Camouflage concealer now and we are going to use it to paint the lid with a dome shape, stopping at the crease. This will help to create a cut crease look.

Lets take our Bella&Bear Marble cat brush and some more of that red shadow now and we work it into the inner and outer corners of the eyes blending into that crease but leaving a blank space in the middle.

Next, we are taking some 'Sun' shadow from the BH Cosmetics galaxy chic palette on our Bella&Bear Jaguarundy cat brush and we spray the brush with some Revolution oil control fixing spray to intensify the colour, then we apply it to that blank space in the centre of the lid.

To top that we are going to use our Bella&Bear Fishing Cat brush to press some Colourpop Waterfall glitter gel on.

We are going to line the eyes now using our Bella&Bear Serval angled liner brush and some ABH Waterproof creme colour liner and we are going to draw a wing along the upper lash line.

Lets curl the lashes now for some lift. Using our Bella&Bear Eye and Mighty lash curlers we curl for 20-30 seconds on each eye. We lock that curl in with a coat of the TooFaced Better Than Sex Mascara.

We are going to add a set of falsies to make our eyes extra magical. Lets use our Bella&Bear Angled tweezers here to apply a set of the GWA Unicorn falsies as close the natural lash line as possible.

Lets think about the brows now. We start by brushing them through using the spoolie end of our Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx brow brush to lightly shape them.

Then we use the brush end to work some ABH dipbrow pomade through the hairs to define the shape and fill in sparser areas.

You can go back through with the spoolie again to disperse any excess product.

We are going to work on our base now, beginning with a primer to make our skin flawless and poreless. We use the Bodyshop Instablur and work it over the skin with our fingers.

Next we are going to use a full coverage foundation, we love the Bodyshop matte clay foundation and we blend it with some Bodyshop Drops of Glow liquid highlight. We blend that over the skin using our Bella&Bear Jaguar angled kabuki.

We are next going to disguise those problem areas so we take our Bella&Bear Ocelot concealer brush and some more of that Essence concealer and we cover dark circles and blemishes.

We are going to keep the skin luminous for this look, but it is still important to set that concealer to prevent it from creasing or sliding so we are taking our Bella&Bear Leopard face brush and some Essence All about Matte powder and we are dusting over the areas we concealed.

You can lock that base in place with a spritz of the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.

We are going to add a little colour back to the face now so we are picking up our Bella&Bear bobcat brush and some Benefit Hoola matte bronzer and we are working it over the cheekbones, around the hair line and onto the temples.

Lets also go back to the eyes now, picking up our Bella&Bear Marbled cat brush again and using it to work some of that same red shadow along the lower lash line, pulling it downward for a softer edge.

We are also going to pick up our Bella&Bear Cheetah Dup Fiber Powder brush and a golden toned highlight and we are going to dust it over the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and on the cupids bow. We have used JSC 'Caramel Kiss' here.

Finally, lets work on the lips. We want them deep and intense like the eyes so we are starting by lining them with some red liner - we over line them lightly for this look.

Then, picking up our Bella&Bear Rusty Spotted Cat Lip Brush and some Limecrime velvetine in Bloodmoon we paint the lips.

To finish the look we pop on our Gryffindor house Tie and we pull our hair into a loose ponytail - we tease out sections at the front using our Bella&Bear Brush on You Comb.

Which Hogwarts House are you?
